Profile

The Writer SME/Task Order Manager will:

• Manage all aspects of specialized communications, digital media services, technical support, and 508 compliance support to create captivating outreach campaigns using compelling digital media products.
• Manage all aspects of innovative communications and digital media services to enhance outreach initiatives in support of the priorities and strategic direction of the client.
• Prepare weekly status reports.
• Prepare monthly progress reports.
• Prepare for and attend monthly progress meetings.
• Coordinate and collaborate with subject matter experts to draft, edit, proofread, and/or format technical reports, presentations, fact sheets, talking points, background papers, articles, website content, social media pieces, SharePoint site content, and other print or electronic materials; summarize detailed, specialized information abstracts or executive summaries.
• Review and edit for grammar, style, punctuation, structure, etc., all S&T promotional products, fact sheets, program brochures and other public release documents.
• Write a variety of articles for internal and external release.
• Prepare reports, publications, marketing plans, strategies, and status reports for review and publication.
• Edit and format materials as required for clarity, logic, persuasion, and effectiveness.
• Draft and edit by-lined articles for trade publications for review by client staff and management.
• Assist with internal writing assignments.

Required Education:

Must possess a Master’s degree preferably in editing, publishing, digital/technical writing, or professional writing.

Required Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in editing, publishing, digital/technical writing, or professional writing.
• A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• US Citizenship.


Required Security Clearance:

Must have the ability to successfully complete the Suitability process to obtain a Public Trust status.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional Certification
• Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification
• Minimum of three (3) years managing communications and outreach initiatives.
