Profile

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is seeking to hire a Senior Project Control Analyst to develop, monitor, and maintain schedules and budgets for capital improvement projects and participate in technical financial and project management analyses related to SANDAG capital improvement programs.

Ideal Candidate
This position is ideal for an experienced project manager or financial analyst who has a strong technical background and an interest in furthering their expertise in the coordination and administration of large-scale capital project delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Excellent communication skills An aptitude for analytical thinking and problem solving The ability to work collaboratively and use sound judgement Knowledge and experience with accounting, budgeting, and auditing principles Experience coordinating project control functions and activities and developing project budget control measures Experience performing complex calculations to complete financial and economic analyses of funding activities Demonstrated experience developing, monitoring, and maintaining numerous project budgets preferably for a comprehensive, regional capital improvement program
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
The minimum education, training, and experience qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with major course work in planning, engineering, project management, financial management, public administration, or a related field, and five years of increasingly responsible professional experience supporting the delivery of capital projects including some lead or supervisory experience. A Master’s degree or PMP certificate is desirable.
