The Healthcare Technology Centre is embedded within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. and has developed a broad range of  projects, collaborators and networks since it’s inception. Over a period of three years multi-disciplinary teams support the scoping, development, delivery and conclusion of research and innovation projects that aim to bring new products, processes, and services to the marketplace and the NHS to support economic growth, patient benefit and to positively impact patient health and population wellbeing. Working together, this “Team Wales” Centre is demonstrating significant value to the Welsh economy and benefit to the Welsh health and innovation ecosystem. Collaborating with wider initiatives we are improving Wales’ innovation capabilities and capacity by accelerating technology push, creating capacity to address unmet clinical need, and developing assistive technologies to support enhanced quality of life. Our Research & Innovation Technologists and Assistants support a portfolio of impactful life science and health-related projects involving partners from higher education, private sector, other public sector and voluntary organisations and the NHS. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our expanding team. You will work with a broad range of partners from across the private and public sectors. This role will be responsible for managing a small portfolio of projects, many of which are strategic comissioned pieces of work. While the portfolio is broad, you can also have the opportunity to specialise or leverage your existing experience to add value to the teams.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, this role will focus on opportunity management and realisation, bid writing and sourcing collaborative funding as well as developing and managing projects within the portfolio. The role will receive direction from the Healthcare Technology Centre Lead.
We welcome applicants from a broad variety of backgrounds who are keen to join a vibrant multi-disciplinary team and who have a passion for project management and technology development. We will enable staff to start as soon as possible.
For these roles we expect some experience and/or experience in project and research management as defined in more detail within the job description. Evidence of obtaining significant funding/grants within a relevant field and knowledge of the Life Science/Healthcare Sector within Wales/UK is desirable.
