Profile

Global Managment Services, LLC (GMS) is seeking a full-time Project Manager at Eielson AFB. Oversees the Property requirements (facilities and ground maintenance services, utility systems maintenance, trash removal and physical security) of Eielson, AFB. Incumbent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of project requirements at Eielson, AFB in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. Ensures consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as the central contractor point of contact with the Government.
Communicates and coordinates maintenance and repair work.
Takes lead with planning and implementing project improvements.
Monitors and reviews operations to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner.
Prepares reports and makes recommendations for improving field operations.
Ensures that contract employees are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that contract needs can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Communicates regularly with all employees both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning contract issues.
Tracks, analyzes and improves asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
Ensures health, and environmental policies and procedures are met.
Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance are met.
Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the contract; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all contract personnel.
Initiates, implements, and manages the maintenance program based on best practices with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency and knowledge.

Job Requirements :
Required:
A bachelor’s degree
Must have three (3) – five (5) years of experience in project management involving supervision of staff and oversight for resources, plans, and programs.
Prior experience working in building and installation (i.e., commercial, industrial, & residential buildings; carpentry, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning), and grounds maintenance preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be a steady, reliable worker.
Must have a valid driver's license with NO major infractions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required:
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. Strong problem solving skills with attention to safety.
Ability to be task oriented, self motivated and have the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work as team member as well as a team lead.
Ability to work in fast paced and compliance driven environment.
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from staff, other departments and senior management.
Preferred:
Six (6) to seven (7) years of experience in the field
A bachelor’s degree
, preferably in management sciences
or business administration.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The work described herein is primarily active, performed in a maintenance shop setting. Walking and climbing will be required at work sites. The work environment involves risks or discomforts that require specific safety precautions typical of such places as residential and commercial buildings. This position requires driving and working out of doors in extreme heat/cold and possibly rainy weather.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hires and supervises direct reports and assists with hiring and supervising of contract personnel.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
