JOB SUMMARY:
The Strategic Marketing Manager manages several key strategic marketing processes including market size, international expansion, and support business development efforts. The individual reports to the Executive Director of Strategic Marketing and is responsible for working with the strategic marketing team and other commercial leaders to ensure high quality analysis is completed in a thoughtful manner. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project manager that is excited to build and maintain new processes and tools for strategic marketing and assist in the investigation of new opportunities for growth. They are expected to manage the existing process, recommend improvements, and work to integrate process with new corporate requirements in 2022.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the key contact for regional management on FLC international expansion requests.
Manage the annual international expansion prioritization process to force rank opportunities based on financial return and strategic fit. Proactively analyze global opportunities to identify expansion targets, present to regional teams, and collaborate on business case development for agreed upon opportunities.
Manage the annual and quarterly updates for front line care market segments for adjacent and served markets. Drive alignment for forward-looking segment growth rates. Communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
Develop and update market share methodology to ensure consistent reporting to senior leadership.
Work closely with Front Line Care business development to manage target-teaser process, funnel, and monthly project reporting. Support Business Development Lead with due diligence processes, as needed.
Develop, document and ensure adherence with defined processes, policies, and guidelines to manage best in class project workflow and execution for strategic marketing led projects including international expansion, market size analysis and strategic planning process.
Provide training on the strategic marketing processes including the international expansion request process and market size analysis to global and regional marketing leadership.
Draft communication of the process, outcome of prioritization, and timing for review to global leadership (this may include PowerPoint presentations, written materials, and operating procedures)
Monitor EU MDR (Medical Device Regulation) and UK MDD to ensure that the program status/progress is clear/communicated to the marketing team and category directors
Research best-in-class processes and provide recommendations

SCOPE:
Providing a clear process on how requests are prioritizes and resourced to provide clarity to the global organization (avoid miscommunication of what is actually being worked on)
Understands the impact of expansion efforts on AOP (annual operating plan) and Strategic plan
Proactive approach to maintaining a market size data base to ensure alignment across multiple stakeholders.
Support business development efforts for Front Line Care to ensure consistent and accurate reporting
Able to simplify, communicate and train on process
Service as subject matter expert on international expansion for FLC
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS or equivalent degree, MBA strongly preferred, and experience in project management or upstream marketing including strategy and roadmap development.
5 years industry or marketing experience in a related.
Experience with internal processes and complex projects demonstrating the ability to nurture projects from ideation through successful commercialization strongly preferred
Strong business acumen and detailed knowledge of upstream/downstream marketing, sales, operations, regulatory, clinical and NPD processes
Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to make the complex understandable
Advanced oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate process and decisions of the prioritization process
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, often cross-functionally, as well as be comfortable contributing to discussions with senior level executives
Proficient with PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and other professional platforms; skilled in collaborating and distilling information from both technical and non-technical experts
Enthusiasm and an orientation to action and problem solving a must
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to travel minimum 15%
