The Director of Program Management will manage cross-team initiatives and be responsible for the management and monitoring of our portfolio of projects and innovation products. As a hands-on individual you will work to support strategic and operational initiatives, planning and reporting; to oversee and manage continuous planning across projects, ensuring execution achieves intended outcome. You will work autnomously while managing project managers, business analysts and testing/QA services.
What You Will Do:
Manage delivery of multiple programs, end to end program execution, scope management, schedule management, cost management and quality management. Develop, deliver and maintain detailed project plans to ensure clarity of expectation of deliverables, timelines, change management, resources and reporting to ensure execution achieves intended outcomes and goals, are on time and in budget.
Provide proactive leadership to projects and portfolio by initiating and coordinating cross-functional and cross-departmental meetings to help teams realize their full delivery potential.
Work with technical teams, product owners/managers and leadership to ensure alignment with engineering and product priorities and timelines, establish metrics for tracking, and present crisp, regular updates ensuring shared understanding of goals, tracking of goal progress and risk assessments
Hire, motivate and manage quality assurance and testing staff, develop appropriate testing and QA/QC processes for product and model development in compliance with stated MRM Policies and Standards.
Develop QA/QC and test plans for products.
Hire, motivate, mentor and manage project management team made up of project managers and business analysts in support of portfolio including development of requirements in conjunction with product owners and technical leads
Supports and fosters relationships with key internal partners or external vendors/partners in support of projects and product development objectives
Who We Are Looking For:
Knowledge:
Experience with project management principles, software engineering principles, theories, concepts, techniques, industry practices
Experience generating requirements/specifications, high level designs, and process risk assessments
Experience managing hardware and software integrated projects as well as software only projects from design through deployment
Experience with Agile development, Microsoft Project (or similar) and Jira
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to collaborate and hold cross functional teams accountable through positive influence
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse cross-disciplinary teams
Possess and leverage strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that drive executional impact at scale
People Management:
Ability to manage remote work force effectively.
Two distinct areas include QA/QC/Testing and Project Managers/Business Analysts.
Staff may include FTEs or 1099s depending on need
Provide mentoring, guidance and professional support to staff to motivate appropriate behavior
