Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position will strategically lead and coordinate the implementation of the Tyson Production System TPS Including Blitz Process Improvement activities within the designated Business area in which they are assigned Poultry Prepared Manufacturing Fresh Meats Shared Services Enterprise to include production systems complexes plants distribution centers suppliers value streams and core businesses. Responsibilities include leading and implementing Lean Manufacturing principals following the TPS guidelines; developing and training team members on TPS fundamentals; managing and administering TPS initiatives timelines and deployment plan; informing and advising appropriate leaders of TPS progress; leading and coaching both business professionals and subsequent business partners on the establishment of a TPS culture; other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor s degree preferred; Degrees in Engineering Meat Science Animal Science or Operations Management are beneficial.
Experience: 5 plus years experience in Continuous Improvement-related positions in Operations Sales Marketing or Shared Services; experience in Change Management or Relationship Management required. Technical Skills: Microsoft Office including PowerPoint Project Manager Excel and Word. Advanced computer skills ability to learn new systems and organize significant amounts of information in a professional manner is preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal written and presentation skills are required. Project management experience.
Travel: Up to 80% travel required
Position Specific: Strong knowledge of practical lean manufacturing principles. Ability to teach and coach employees at all levels in the use of lean tools presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner. Excellent project management skills. Creative in problem solving and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems.
