The position of Senior Project Manager
is within our Infectious Disease Developed Markets Business Unit.
This role will perform project planning, execute plan, work through metrics, track and communicate project status through the entire project cycle. 
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manages multiple new product development and product support projects
Leads development teams through execution of project plans integrating cross-functional deliverables.
Establishes project metrics (scope, schedule, quality) to manage and continuously improve project performance.
Utilizes skills in creative problem solving, and proactively escalates risks and issues to the right level of management.
Collaborates with functional managers to assign appropriate skillset to projects and monitors performance.
Establishes project budget and actively manage project budget performance.
Actively manages project risk activities.
Manages and coordinates project activities to deliver projects from concept to commercialization.
Conducts design reviews and ensures proper completion of project deliverables
Drives resolution of team project issues, risks, and/or conflicts leading to clear decisions and action items.
Provides timely and effective project communications to key stakeholders
Leads and/or supports business process improvement activities to continuously improve project deliverables.
Follows best practices, processes, and standard methods for project planning.
Strong knowledge of product life-cycle management and process development
Working technical knowledge and experience with molecular biology techniques and assay/reagent development
Strong knowledge of FDA design control guidance and ISO 13485
Strong communications (written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation) skills and the ability to clearly communicate project progress and needs at all levels
Demonstrated collaboration skills; capable of building cross-functional relationships, holding teams accountable, and creatively working with teams to meet commitments
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering plus on the job experience in project management or equivalent combination of education and experience .
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in medical devices, medical diagnostics, or related industry, specifically in R&D or technical development role.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project leadership or management role
PREFERRED
Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering or other technical field.
Project Management Certification (PMP)
