**Senior/Principal Advanced Analytics Analyst**
For our Corporate Audits Global Data Analytics team to be based in our Prague office in the Czech Republic.

As a member of the Data Analytics team within Corporate Audit, you will contribute to Corporate Audit's mission, which is to preserve and enhance shareholder value through the independent and objective identification and evaluation of risks, the assessment of the integrity and effectiveness of internal controls, and the evaluation and promotion of operational excellence across the global Medtronic enterprise.
**A Day in the Life**
The Senior/Principal Advanced Analytics Analyst works on a variety of strategic and ad-hoc projects, which supports our data driven approach in audit and decision making. You will be working with audit teams across the globe on assurance and advisory engagements according to audit plan, by generating data insights. In addition, you will have opportunity to work on global strategic departmental projects, developing state of the art analytical tools to support continuous risk assessment processes, providing self-service analytics, and enabling continuous auditing.
The role provides an excellent opportunity to expand knowledge on Medtronic value streams and business practices, as well as to partner with a wide range of stakeholders across the globe and different functions.
As a Senior/Principal Advanced Analytics Analyst your activities will include, but are not limited to:
Being integral part of the audit engagement teams, understanding analytical requests and providing expert advice on how to better leverage data and analytics to drive value during the assurance and advisory projects.
Conducting statistical analysis on data and information.
Developing end-to-end strategic and ad-hoc analytical tools.
Mining, extracting, transforming, and modelling both structured and unstructured data.
Turning data into insights and presenting these to various stakeholders in a clear, concise, and non-technical manner.
**Must Haves**
Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study (Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science).
Excellent interpersonal and English communication (verbal and written) skills.
Solid knowledge and skill in SQL.
Solid knowledge and skill in visualization tools (Power BI is an advantage).
Understanding the business essence of data and good analytical thinking.
You have 2-3 years of experience in Audit i.e. Big4 or similar or 4 years in Internal Audit, Accounting or Finance.
High energy, result-oriented individual with demonstrated capacity to take charge of assigned projects with sense of urgency, good organizational and problem-solving skills.
Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities and responsibilities in a dynamic and changing environment.
Strong influencing and problem resolution skills.
Willingness and motivation to further develop and learn.
**Nice to Haves**
Working knowledge of Python or R.
Working knowledge of Alteryx.
Experience with project management, preferably of technical implementation projects (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, SDLC).
Able and willing to travel (domestic and international), ranging from 10 to 20%.
