The Sr. Program Manager Product Life Cycle Management role is a leadership position within the Diabetes Program Management team. This position is responsible for building and leading mobile app based connected products from ideation through submission, launch, and including post-launch sustaining activities and end of life planning.
Using broad cross-functional knowledge and comprehensive management skills, this role provides direction and leadership to a cross-functional program development team including outside partners and internal members with expertise from the following disciplines: field sales, IT, downstream marketing, product development, clinical, regulatory affairs, quality, operations, supply chain, product planning, software product management and software lifecycle management.
The Sr. Program Manager will collaborate with cross-functional team members to create a sustaining and end of life process, inclusive of app and system changes. They will be the Core Team Lead, enacting our Product Development process drive quick iteration of quality products to market. They will be responsible for schedule, resources, risk management and engage with senior leadership on a regular basis.

**A Day in the Life**
Program Execution
Lead assigned cross-functional team members in the successful iteration of mobile applications and systems required to support successful maintenance of products in the market and global expansion. Ensures that products and platforms drive improved customer experience and quality
Leads a forum for understanding and dispositioning field issues
Works with IT and R&D to create and manage an appropriate escalation process
As needed, creates Project charters and contracts
Identifies resource needs and gaps
Maintains and executes schedule
Manages and tracks project budget
Ensure team commitments are met and team members are held accountable
Communication
Serves as the communication link between the project team and the Diabetes business leader.
Leads communication with leadership, other functions, and business units; including appropriate risk and escalation management
Leadership
Build a solid and high performing team with clear communication to leadership, extended team members, and enabling functions
Mentors team members
Engages team members to ensure effective team dynamics and mutual accountability.
Bring and implement program management and life cycle management best practices within team. Influence positive change outside of Program Management team
Process Improvement
Identifies and leads development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Provides regular updates and strategies for executive management review and decision making around program priorities, budget, timing, resources and assumptions, including impact on the customer, enterprise-wide resources, and revenues.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Manages the development and implementation process of a companys products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of projects key stakeholders.
Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

Bachelors degree with 7 years of relevant experience
OR
Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
**Nice to Have**
Technical Skills
Engineering or Computer Science degree
Project Management Certification, such as PMP
Experience with mobile medical devices, big-data and predictive analytics projects
Experience in the service and support of mobile applications and connected and cloud based systems
Operational and end of life management experience
Strong project and program management skills
Experience in managing external partners and vendors
Expertise in devising and implementing streamlined processes and strategic programs to improve efficiency, timeliness, and productivity
Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project, VISIO, and Outlook and other collaboration and workflow management tools
Additional Skills
Enthusiasm and a desire to affect change
Demonstrated track record of leading within complex organizations requiring strong team leadership and influencing skills
Experience working in product development, including clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of cross-functional project teams and functional management
