u003cp style=u0022text-align: center;u0022u003eu003cstrongu003eINFORMANTION GOVERNANCE COUNSEL-COMPLIANCEu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cp style=u0022text-align: center;u0022u003eu003cstrongu003eThis position is not available to be performed in Coloradou003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eThe Information Governance Counsel is a member of Littleru0026rsquo;s Information Governance Department.u0026nbsp; You will primarily work with other members of the Information Governance Compliance team, Information Governance Operations team, and those in the IT Department responsible for Information Security.u0026nbsp; The Information Governance Counsel will not represent Littleru0026rsquo;s clients.u0026nbsp; Rather, you will act as counsel for Littler and help the Firm meet its information governance goals.u0026nbsp; These goals include complying with applicable laws and regulations, helping our attorneys comply with their ethical obligations, meeting our clientu0026rsquo;s increasingly complex demands for protecting their information, and helping Littler distinguish itself from its competitors.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003ePrimary Responsibilitiesu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eIncident Management and Breach Responseu003c/strongu003eu003cbr /u003eManage the Firmu0026rsquo;s incident response process and any required security breach notifications.u0026nbsp; Collaborate with Information Governance Operations and Information Technologyu0026nbsp;Department to ensure policy and procedure changes are executed in a timely manner.u0026nbsp;u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eLegal Complianceu003c/strongu003eu003cbr /u003eIdentify applicable laws, regulations and frameworks relating to information security applicable to Littleru0026rsquo;s operations.u0026nbsp; Provide legal guidance on applying these requirements to theu0026nbsp;u0026nbsp;Information Governance u0026nbsp;Program and other firm operations.u0026nbsp;u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003ePolicies Development and Annual Reviewsu003c/strongu003eu003cbr /u003eResponsible for drafting policies and procedures regarding Littleru0026rsquo;s security programs, and moving them through a review and approval process.u0026nbsp; In some areas, this may only requireu0026nbsp;u0026nbsp;tracking final policies prepared and u0026nbsp;managed by other groups.u0026nbsp; Coordinate annual review of policies and procedures regarding Littleru0026rsquo;s security programs.u0026nbsp; Collaborate with the u0026nbsp;Information Governance Operations and Information Technology Security Team to respond u0026nbsp;to security assessments, and as a part of the firmu0026rsquo;s risk management processes.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eSecurity Training and Awarenessu003c/strongu003e u003cbr /u003eDrive development of the content for the Firmu0026rsquo;s information security awareness program for all Littler staff and contractors, including onboarding training, annual awareness training, u0026nbsp;regular awareness bulletins, quick u0026nbsp;reference guides and other materials appropriate for legal professionals. Collaborate with Information Governance Operations and Informationu0026nbsp;u0026nbsp;echnology Department to deliver training and awareness communications a timely u0026nbsp;manner.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eClient Requirementsu003c/strongu003eu003cbr /u003eReview client engagement agreements, Outside Counsel Guidelines, Business Associate Agreements, Requests for Proposals, and other related requirements documentation.u0026nbsp; Coordinate with u0026nbsp;other corporate groups and firm attorneys u0026nbsp;regarding the intake and response to client requests and documentation, especially as those requests are related to new client or new business u0026nbsp;development and client vendor management initiatives (e.g., annual assessments or u0026nbsp;compliance efforts).u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eSupport Responsibilitiesu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eEthics Complianceu003c/strongu003eu003cbr /u003eTrack developing requirements in ethics rules, opinions, and litigation (in the US and other countries where Littler does business) regarding an attorneyu0026rsquo;s obligations rearing the u0026nbsp;security and privacy of data relating to our u0026nbsp;representation of clients, including the obligation to protect client confidences and secrets and to remain competent in using technology.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eGovernance, Risk u0026amp; Compliance Toolsu003c/strongu003eu003cbr /u003eCoordinate with Information Governance Operations to track all legal, regulatory and framework requirements related to security in the Firmu0026rsquo;s Governance, Risk, and Compliance system.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eSupport Other Compliance Initiativesu003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026nbsp;Serve as additional legal counsel for all other Compliance team efforts.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026nbsp;Perform such other/additional duties as may from time to time be assigned.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eTECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIREDu003c/strongu003e:u003cbr /u003eDemonstrated ability in the areas of:u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eAt least 7 years of experience working with clients to manage information security, privacy, or information management programs or requirements.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eLegal experience in the areas of information technology, information governance, privacy and seurity.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eDemonstrated ability to analyze large volumes of data, recognize trends, identify security and privacy risks and help define policy, process, special projects, budgets and programmatic changes to address these risks.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eDemonstrated ability to drive issues to resolution and implement programs and policies by identifying obstacles and working with clients, practice teams, and corporate groups to develop solutions.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize conflicting demands, and escalate issues as necessary.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eDemonstrated ability to work independently and remotely.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eAbility to effectively negotiate privacy and security agreements with clients or customers.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eWorking knowledge of IT systems/technologies, policies and procedures used by large companies.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eExcellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel, including Littler lawyers and clients, in a clear manner.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eExcellent writing and drafting skills.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eStrong organizational and communication skills.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eExperience with project management disciplines and the ability to effectively manage projects to successful completion.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eFamiliarity with applicable information governance and security frameworks, including ISO 27001/2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and associated NIST guidelines, HiTrust framework, SSAE18 Trust Service Principles, etc.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eExperience with and working knowledge of applicable information security, privacy, and information management laws and regulations, including state privacy, security, and breach notification laws;
