JOB SUMMARY
In this role, the Electrical
Engineering Technical Project Manager, will be managing projects
involving the design of electrical products and their enclosures that are
critical to the uninterrupted operations of our client's data center
electrical infrastructure.
Detailed Duties and
Responsibilities:
As a CBRE employee, the ideal
candidate will support our technology client with the development of new
electrical products and their enclosures that are critical to the client's
data center electrical infrastructure. Leads cross-functional teams
responsible for complex new product development (NPD) projects,
while ensuring alignment of product and business goals. Responsible for overall
coordination of the team, their activities and day to day management of the
project and documents progress on appropriate cadence.
Prior experience in managing the
design, manufacturing, field installation and operations of the following is
critical to this role:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from College or University in a technical area of study. Minimum six years of related experience and/or training.
MUST HAVES: Demonstrated Technical Knowledge
Demonstrated familiarity with all major electrical systems & equipment within a hyperscale data center environment.
Familiarity of typical maintenance standards and specifications associated with all major electrical equipment and their enclosures.
Strong familiarity with electrical enclosure design and manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Be the first point of contact for technical issues on existing new electrical product deployments
Research and develop solutions based on technical feasibility, cost, disruption to live facilities, availability, etc.
Coordinate with electrical equipment manufacturers' engineering representatives
Review recommended solution with client's internal engineering organization
Manager and spearhead business/technical approvals (as required) through necessary channels
Manage existing documentation on electrical equipment standards including drawings, specifications, technical submittals, user guides, etc. and supplement/update as required
Development of Electrical equipment enclosures.
Manage existing roadmap of desired new features, bug fixes, etc. for next version of the client's electrical products.
Coordinate with client engineering management, equipment manufacturers, and other stakeholders to implement agreed-upon new features and bug fixes
Create updated documentation for the new product release including drawings, specifications, technical submittals, etc.
Prior experience in a supervisory position (direct report responsibilities) required if specific duties include direct report responsibilities.


CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.


FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.


REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
