How can I be part of Tech@Tyson?
Tyson Foods is hiring for a Sr. Manager, End User Computing position that will lead multi-national IT Operations teams within our Delivery Services Team. Primary focus is on providing management oversight to our managed services Teams, including the global Desktop Support Team, Service Desk, and Plant Equipment Team. Looking for an individual who is a strong customer advocate, can build relationships throughout our organization, has a solid understanding of End User technology, and can empathize with both IT and our customers. You will be interfacing frequently with people across our organization including our Executive Team. This individual will take pride in ownership of leading the Teams that provide support for best-in-class compute platforms used around the world.
Do I have the skills?
Looking for a Technology leader with experience managing Customer facing support Teams. Ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience supporting a variety of software and hardware commonly used by End User such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and their related OS. It’s expected you will have an expert knowledge of productivity suites such as Microsoft O365. Your “soft skills” are as equally important as your technical skills as you will be communicating daily with Team Members across the organization at all levels of management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent degree with experience equating to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Related experience may be acceptable.
Experience: 8 years of experience in Information Systems or related area preferred, 6 years of experience required.
Computer Skills:
Broad knowledge of networks, computer systems, operating systems, applications, and/or equipment with deeper expertise in specific fields.
Application of current technology developments and trends.
Experience with project and work management tools.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Experience communicating technical information to non-technical team members.
Effectively provide constructive feedback to team members
Special Skills:
Proven experience and technical abilities with the industry messaging and collaboration solutions including the Microsoft productivity suite, Exchange, SharePoint, Skype, Teams, Yammer, etc
Proven leadership and project management experience required
Strong understanding of roles, responsibilities and technical acumen in area of responsibility.
Must have strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to drive initiatives through multiple levels of business/IT.
Must possess emotional intelligence and self-awareness
Extensive problem-solving skills
Organizational and Planning skills
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising 4 team members
Travel: Some travel may be required. Amount of travel will be determined by individual project requirements.
