What We’re Looking For:
The Curriculum Manager is responsible for leading a team of subject matter experts, technical writers, and engineers to refine and create new data analytics products. In addition to ensuring program content meets required deadlines and roadmap targets, you will also be the arbiter of quality, working to ensure that the program content is highly instructive, engaging, and teachable, while resulting in expected learning outcomes for students.
The ideal candidate for this role has managed highly complex projects and flexibly-resourced teams and has the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements. You are always driving for great quality, but you also know when to “go pencils down” and ship a product, working iteratively to continue to improve based on student and instructor feedback.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
You will recruit, hire, and lead a team of full-time and part-time instructional designers and technical subject matter experts (curriculum engineers), working to establish, manage, and execute against agile delivery project plans.
You will manage a team of subject matter experts to ensure that all curricular content is instructive, engaging, and teachable
You will utilize data from learner analytics, internal and instructor feedback to make data-driven product improvement and roadmap decisions
You will lead daily scrum to ensure the team is on track to complete work on time and plan ahead for dependencies, internal capabilities, or vulnerabilities that jeopardize quality releases.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, ideate, and develop solutions that improve the student and instructor experience.
Education and Experience:
3-5 years of project management experience, team leadership experience, and, ideally, experience creating technical curriculum for adult learners
An expert working with technical learning content including, but not limited to:
Git and GitHub
Python
Pandas
Tableau
SQL and Relational Databases
Machine Learning
Statistics
Data Visualization
A self-starter who can quickly understand and develop processes and approaches.
A leader motivated by helping others through mentorship, collaboration and support.
A thinker with a strategic mindset that is capable of identifying problems and providing solutions, while also being able to flex to tremendous attention to detail.
A project leader who can take ownership of a situation, bring order to chaos, and deliver highly polished content deliverables consistently on time.
A highly effective communicator with clear writing and solid presentation skills.
A creative thinker, with an analytical mindset or experience in a development environment.
Working Conditions
This role typically works from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with breaks throughout the day. Occasional and rare travel may be needed. Travel will be required on occasion, no more than 20% of the role.
Physical Requirements
This role will primarily be sedentary using a computer, keyboard, and telephone to perform most duties.
