Description:
The role of Project Manager is funded by the NHSX Digital Health Partnership Award. This programme is designed to provide a synergy between the NHS, industry, higher education and the public to design, develop and implement digital technology to improve health outcomes. This post will provide pivotal project management and leadership of an initiative aiming to enhance care for People with Parkinson’s, via the ‘Digitised Home Based Care for Parkinson’s Disease’ project. The Applied Parkinson’s Research Group has developed the Home Based Care (HBC) pathway for patients with Parkinson’s disease that reduces the burden on healthcare services through the use of digital tools. This project consolidates local NHS, HEI & Commercial partnerships to deliver the rapid scale-up and deployment of complementary digital tools utilising applied artificial intelligence to support Parkinson’s care and self-management in the home, which will then be suitable for uptake across the NHS. You will be responsible for the management of the project; starting up, maintaining, supporting, facilitating, monitoring progress, reporting, closing and evaluating the project. You will ensure the project stays within agreed timescales and expenditure. We are looking for a person who has a proven track record in project management and extensive experience in agile methods. Experience of working in the NHS and/or HEI is desirable. Whilst this is not a clinical role, the emphasis will be on enhancing the delivery of services that are clinical. Therefore, you will be required to communicate and engage clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels. For an informal discussion, or to find out more about the role, please contact Associate Professor Camille Carroll by email **** in the first instance. Find out more about what we do: Applied Parkinson’s Research Group.
