POSITION PURPOSE:
The Web Developer manages the web development process from conception to deployment and maintains & upgrades UX with a focus on back-end development technologies. This role will play a vital role in the development, testing and deployment of Adobe Experience Manager and WordPress web and mobile solutions across multiple web properties and brands.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
⦁ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, recommend best practices based on business and technical requirements
⦁ Gather, create and own technical requirements and specifications
⦁ Develops features to enhance user experience and support web components, integrations, and applications for multiple web properties
⦁ Write efficient, modular, reusable, and reliable code for our websites and internal systems and communication platforms, author AEM components and templates leveraging the AEM HTL framework
⦁ Apply understanding of AEM and other Adobe solutions like Analytics and Target to make appropriate technical decisions
⦁ Experience with integrating AEM with other products and vendors
⦁ Maintain functionality of existing WordPress themes and plugins
⦁ Use modern front-end frameworks and digital solutions to rapidly develop design prototypes
⦁ Develop responsive cross-platform User Interface for landing pages and email templates, develop forms
⦁ Monitor performance/stability of web properties with ability to diagnose and solve technical problems, ensure quality control especially regarding browser compatibility
⦁ Researching & prototyping new technologies and providing recommendations for application improvement as it pertains to the user interface
⦁ Partner with the Data Analytics team to provide technical perspective to foster and grow the Optimization Program
⦁ Mentor junior application developers and provide end-users with technical support
⦁ Competencies in content migration and management, user experience and quality assurance and testing.
⦁ Proven success in designing and maintaining websites for businesses with a passion for coding and programming.
Primary Measurements:
⦁ Achievement of timely webpage/site launches in conjunction with team goals and objectives
⦁ Execution of design/UX/technical sprints during site upgrade projects
⦁ Execution of key projects on time and within budget
SCOPE & EXPECATIONS:
⦁ Read and interpret common business documents including contracts, charts, graphs and diagrams.
⦁ Listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to carry out responsibilities or respond to common inquiries from customers/clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and public.
⦁ Handle ambiguity and drive projects to meet key milestones, deadlines, and metrics while working closely with multiple stakeholders groups, including internal clients and external customers or consumers.
⦁ Define problems, determine failure points, establish facts, utilize data, and identify solutions.
⦁ Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Experience & Skills:
⦁ 1 years implementing AEM solutions and an understanding of AEM architecture
⦁ 3 years of experience in back-end development (Java)
⦁ Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented programming
⦁ Experience with:
⦁ Creating components, templates, dialogues, pages and OSGI bundles in AEM
⦁ Templating Languages (HTL)
⦁ Data Exchange Protocols (XML, JSON)
⦁ Query Languages
⦁ Sling Servlets & Sling Models
⦁ Web Servers and Caching (Apache, Dispatcher)
⦁ Version Control (git) and Effective Code Review
⦁ Builds (Maven)
⦁ RESTful Services/APIs
⦁ SQL/NoSQL databases
⦁ Ability to read Java API documentation
⦁ Comfortable with developer testing performance & production quality to expected grade
⦁ Familiarity with Front-End Development technologies (HTML5, CSS/SASS and JavaScript frameworks like React/Angular) and an ability to identify potential front-end issues
⦁ Knowledge of basic UX/UI principles
⦁ Experience in a Cloud Hosting Platform such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
⦁ Experience with project management tools such as Asana or JIRA
⦁ Strong, demonstrated problem-solving skills
⦁ Excellent planning, project management and organizing skills -- high attention to detail
⦁ Excellent oral and written communication and organization skills
⦁ Ability to build effective business relationships with internal/external clients
⦁ Experience in Adobe Campaign, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target and Adobe migration projects preferred
⦁ AEM certifications preferred
Education
⦁ Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent advanced industry certifications or 5 years of professional experience in web development
