Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible to manage lifecycle delivery of projects to satisfy client needs. In addition to serve as the client liaison for duration of the project; translate the client*s vision of work into an appropriate project plan and ensure that it is executed correctly and promptly. They are to be responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project and directing activity to balance constraints of time, budget and quality of scope.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
* Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of project management skills and able to tailor PM practices, such as Project Management Institute*s Guide to the PMBOK, Prince 2, and others necessary to complete multiple, concurrent projects successfully.
* Demonstrates significant knowledge of clients* business practices, issues faced, and how Delegata*s solutions and services can meet needs.
* Directs a variety of teams and team members in the completion of highly complex initiatives. Analyzes technical requirements. Develops or engages others in developing conceptual solutions to complex, non-routine problems and issues
* Defines, designs, and implements managerial concepts and techniques such as work planning, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating. Assembles project team, defines work plans and deliverables, schedules assignments, and reviews and evaluates work solution. Provides specialized business and/or technical direction and guidance to work teams
* Has demonstrated leadership qualities. Directs major projects with significant business impact. Effectively coaches and communicates with team members
* Responsible for entire projects having large scope and business impact and value to clients. Can express the value proposition and deliver it
* Serves as primary point of contact during client interactions on one or more projects and responsible to achieve client satisfaction. Experienced in leading clients through full lifecycle delivery of projects.
* Demonstrates high level of discipline delivering quality results/deliverables completed by one or more teams
* A project manager capable of universal assignment across a broad variety of complex project initiatives (up to 25 people and $10M budget)
* Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to results expected. Conceptualizes, creates, and directs innovative solutions to clients* business needs
* Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Uses creative and innovative thinking in applying, on a broad basis, principles, theories, and concepts to a wide-range of problems
* Plan own work and work of other teams/team members. Provides professional guidance/training as required.
* Plan the work of team members to optimize the use of time and resources in achieving desired results. Develops detailed project plans for major, complex projects. Monitors and tracks implementation plans to ensure desired outcomes

* Collaborating with quality teams to drive continuous improvement
* Coaching, mentoring and training the organization to perform any of the above
Qualification Requirements
Required Education Level:
* Bachelor of Arts or Sciences in a Related Discipline
Required Experience:
* 15 years total professional experience
* 8 years managing programs or projects
* 5 years experience working in a systems integration consulting (or similar) organization
* 4 years experience managing application development projects
* 2 years experience with IT production support processes
* 4 years experience with hands-on client/employee relationship building
* 4 years experience leading or assisting with new business development efforts
* Strong knowledge of/experience in utility sector vertical solutions (energy, oil, gas, electric, hydro, etc.)
* Strong knowledge of/experience with formal, structured software development and management methodologies such as RUP, IEEE, PMBOK
* Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
* Strong communication skills
Desired Qualifications
Desired Education Level:
* Master of Arts or Sciences in a Related Discipline.
Desired Experience:
* 5 years experience managing large, complex programs/project greater than $10 million
* 5 years managing programs, projects, or organizations of 50 people
* 4 years experience managing web development projects
* 4 years experience designing and developing software
Required Competencies
Certifications or Training:
* PMP Certification (PMI)
* Related certifications are desirable
* Formal training in methods used for strategy, governance, process, or performance management would be advantageous
