Description

The Financial Analytics Professional 2 manages data to support and influence decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues. The Financial Analytics Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

This position is for Enclara Pharmacia, a Humana company. Enclara, is a wholly owned hospice and palliative care pharmacy business acquired by Humana in 2021. Enclara is the nation's largest full-service pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) specifically for the hospice and palliative care sectors. Serving over 450 customers and nearly 100,000 patients nationally, Enclara works closely with hospices to reduce pharmacy costs, improve patient care and support caregivers through: digital innovations, flexible medication access, one-on-one clinical support, and excellent customer service.

Summary:

The Business Analyst, Level II will be responsible for supporting the creation, evaluation and analysis of key client performance indicators, measuring and benchmarking client performance, constructing data to support client business reviews (BR) and assisting with ad hoc client-specific reporting. The incumbent is also responsible for formulating customer-focused insights, articulating actionable recommendations and driving critical business decisions that optimize medication utilization behaviors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Construct, manage and analyze client-specific medication utilization data in conjunction with the field-based clinical consultant team.
Partner with clinical and other functional leaders to optimize cost of care management across the Enclara business by identifying opportunities, designing action plans, developing/tracking key performance indictors (KPIs) and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
Measure and benchmark business operations in relation to best business practices for the hospice pharmacy service industry.
Conduct financial analysis for formulary changes and evaluate the impact to client and company.
Research, analyze, and assist with the design and implementation of reporting systems/dashboards (i.e., Qlik-Sense).
Extract clinical and financial data from multiple sources and creates integrated analytical data sets.
Create utilization benchmarks and new KPIs based on continuous data exploration activities.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of customized reports using data requested by senior management and conduct ad hoc analyses where needed.
Conduct data mining, data cleansing and production report generation.
Support and closely collaborate with internal teams: account management, pricing, sales, implementation and digital.
Communicate and articulate the results to internal personnel.
Conduct problem solving analyses and recommends clear, concise solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


Very strong analytical skills using unstructured data to draw meaningful insights
Ability to 'connect the data dots' and articulate a story using data
Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple projects of various diverse scope in a cross-functional environment
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain business relationships
High-energy with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across an organization in designing and implementing solutions that yield incremental value-added solutions
Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex problems


Education and/or Experience:


Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, Chemistry, Mathematics or closely related field

Experience working in pharmacy setting, PBM or closely related field a plus
Minimum of 3-5 years of data analytics experience


Computer Skills:


Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Knowledge of SQL, BI Analytic tools (Qlik, Tableau, etc.)
