Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 acts as the project management liaison between operational business users and in-house technical teams to identify and implement solutions to meet business needs. Works with business to fully understand requests and provides clear, organized explanation of options and approaches. Obtains business goals and objectives and collaborates with data scientists, business analysts, and other technical teams to achieve given objectives. Is part of a support services team that handles all incoming requests for the department and uses project management best practices, critical thinking, and knowledge of relevant tools and technologies to create insightful and actionable business results. This role requires familiarity with the fundamentals of both business analysis and project management, as well as the ability to work with, and converse about, data and data analysis. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 years of experience in project management and/or business analysis
Ability to take the lead on projects with little preparation
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Comprehensive knowledge of project management and business analysis common practices, processes, and documentation
Excellent organization and communication skills
Experience leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders and moving parts
Ability to capture project requirements, vision and scope, and timeline quickly and efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree in a related field
Knowledge of common claims and data-related applications, tools, reports, and systems
Experience with software development life cycle and Agile methodologies
In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, graphs, etc.
Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power applications
Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions

Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
