PACKAGING PROJECT MANAGER (GLOBAL LABELS ANALYST) – CREATIVE SERVICES

POSITION SUMMARY

Creative Services is an in-house department supporting Shell Lubricants Marketing in North America. We operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with high-volume output supporting leading lubricants brands across multiple channels by developing product packaging, marketing, advertising and promotional materials.

The Packaging Project Manager (Global Labels Analyst) is responsible for the successful execution of packaging projects (labels and cases) for Shell Lubricants in North America.

The ideal candidate is an active listener, anticipates challenges, provides solutions, is agile and proactive with a continuous-improvement mindset.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of projects with Lubricants Supply Chain, Global Brand, Creative Services, Legal, Technical, Global Labels and external vendors.
Proactively meets with clients to provide creative and value-added solutions while maintaining brand, legal and regulatory compliance. Gathers information on project objectives, scope, budget and deadlines.
Meets all deadlines. Proactively and consistently utilizes web-based tools for project management, scheduling and archiving. Ensures that work on projects doesn’t stall because of unanswered questions or lack of information. This means regular communication with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
Participates in meetings and is a member on work group items.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge on subject matter and provides support to client groups regarding packaging processes, substrates, scheduling and standard operating procedures.
Manages the route-for-approval process, ensuring that assigned projects produced by Creative Services have the proper approvals before releasing to print.
Allocates time wisely and effectively.
Handles multiple priorities regarding routine matters and some issue resolution.
Will escalate difficult situations to supervisor.


ACCOUNTABILITIES


Excellent project management, people management, time management and multitasking skills are a must along with the ability to work independently or in a diverse work group.
Strong presentation and analytical skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of stakeholders.
Develops and/or adheres to brand standards, legal, technical and regulatory compliance.
On occasion, will act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitating information validation and team decision-making process. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.


REQUIREMENTS


3-5 years of project management experience, demonstrating ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of projects and activities.
Proficiency with industry-standard software, including MS Office 365, SharePoint, GSAP, etc.
Other critical competencies:
Strong leadership skills, ability to inspire and motivate a diverse organization.
Balance of strategic and creative skills.
Strong prioritization skills.
