Summary
The Global Oncology Marketing Pan-Tumor Leader will support one of the lead assets within the Daiichi Sankyo portfolio. This commercial leader develops pan-tumor strategy, messaging and tactics as well as provides strategic planning and operational management oversight of Global Oncology Marketing projects and activities that span across indications for the brand including brand strategic planning process, budget management, as well as coordinating commercialization activities with regional teams. Additionally, the Director will be involved in providing commercial input and serving as the pan-tumor leader by interfacing with cross-functional teams for new tumor types as the clinical program for the brand expands.


Responsible for pan-tumor and cross-indication strategic planning, milestones, budget, management of resources, leadership/management of specific cross-functional brand meetings, congress planning, and general support for, and along with, the Global Brand Lead.


Responsibilities

  • Brand Lead Support – Pan Tumor
    Develop a comprehensive Pan-tumor strategy, message framework, and related tactics, in close collaboration with the Brand Indication Leads. Develop a framework for assessment, market research, preliminary pan-tumor strategy (buying process, segmentation, brand character/book, positioning, target audience messaging, pre-launch communication and public relations initiatives.). Incorporate and actively manage the Pan-tumor strategy/messages/tactics as new indications and data from new trials come into range of commercialization.
  • Brand Lead Support – Cross-Indication
    Leads and represents the brand team and projects and with sub-teams dealing with issues that cut across all brand indications including but not limited to Brand Strategic Planning, Budget planning/tracking, Agency Management, Congress Planning, IO/combination strategy, Rest-of-World filing planning, etc.
    Responsible for ensuring that the ADC Marketing team delivers project(s)/activities successfully and on a timely manner as per annual plan & objectives.
    Establish and lead Cross-Indication brand strategic planning process that is rolled up from indication leads, establishing comprehensive milestone map and metrics to track towards meeting cross-indication plan goals. In collaboration with the asset marketing team, track progress and measure impact of cross-indication plans/activities.
    Support Brand Leader in prioritization and planning of cross-indication resources and develop rationale for annual resource planning in close collaboration with the indication leads, establishing and managing the full cross-indication strategic planning process including annual tactical planning, budget development, and structured monitoring the activities. Work with indication leads to provide consolidated budget/LE updates (across all activities, functions and regions) in a timely manner with appropriate rationale.
    Leads efforts and deliverables for cross-indication forums internally and with Alliance leadership and broader team meetings/presentations as well as all Congress Planning and deliverables including full year planning across all relevant congresses for the brand, development and/or coordination with indication leads for necessary resources for booth/digital deliverables and planning/organizing internal meetings and presentations associated with those congresses.
  • Project Management Support – Cross-indication
    Manage project/activities, including management of agenda for both Oncology ADC marketing team as well as cross-functional team meetings, plan/manage/lead/conduct those meetings. As part of this activity, leads risk identification, prioritization and mitigation planning processes across the indications. Identifies gaps in processes and functional procedures that may impact program delivery and escalates appropriately to Franchise Head. Generates and maintains strategic integrated project plans, project timelines, high quality risk management plans (as needed), and communication plans for regional and cross-functional extended team members. Create and deliver a consolidated brand level monthly report that provides an overview of progress on all key activities, potential risks and mitigation actions. Support brand with quarterly update for Senior Management Collaborate with Franchise Head and indication leads (as needed) for formal presentations/communications to Senior management.
  • New Indication Planning
    Work with cross-functional team to develop commercial viewpoint including forecast assumptions for future indications that are not covered by the indication leads. This includes tumor types outside of the current lead tumor types that the program will expand into.
    Represent brand team in R&D meetings and provide commercial viewpoint and thinking. Work with R&D teams in taking new indication planning through internal and Alliance governance.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

Bachelor's Degree (ideally in science, engineering, business, marketing or management) with relevant professional experience or equivalent required
Master's Degree MBA or higher-level degree in business/management preferred


Experience Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-year experience in pharma industry
  • Prior brand experience and/or leadership on a multi-indication brand
  • Oncology Launch Experience
  • Proactive change management skills and engagement to enable continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt according to different levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, negotiation and align across multiple functions, key stakeholders, and levels of management (including Senior Leadership)
  • Drive decision making process, including ability to challenge teams and achieve
  • Strong project management experience. PMP, Six Sigma or similar professional project management certification is a plus
     

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI preferred
