The Team

Retail Store Development (RSD) and Shop-in-Shop (SIS) teams are part of the Omnichannel Department which services the design and implementation of new stores, and refits of existing stores and SIS across Western and Eastern Europe as well as Middle East and Africa, for Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.

The Store development team is on an exciting journey creating a state of the art retail environment for a 360-degree consumer experience and to implement most advanced digital technology. Sustainable design and execution becomes integral in the way stores are developed.

The Position

The Senior Manager Concept Implementation (Store Development & Shop in Shop) will be responsible to oversee and efficiently translate conceptual design and commercial initiatives into scalable, technical and cost effective solutions for retail store development (RSD) and shop-in-shop (SIS) rollout teams. This is a highly strategic and cross functional role that requires strong project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Manage key operational initiatives that require implementation into store development rollout in EMEA+ e.g. Digital screens, RFID, Connected Retail
• Manage the structuring of issues, the running of analyses, and the development of actionable recommendations for the store development and concept teams
• Distribute store concept related information and documentation to external parties in EMEA+ like local architects, GCs, vendor, etc.
• Crucial “go to person” and source of information on concept standards for Store & SIS Development, VM, procurement, vendors, local architects  and other
• Oversee the concept planning timelines and process of new concept implementation or concept changes to inform stakeholders (Store Development &SIS, vendors, procurement, country and region) 
• Oversee the continuous, consistent and completed development of concept guidelines and all concept standard details for according implementation
• Monitor evaluation processes on cost, scalability, technical feasibility, sustainability, accessibility and availability for standard concept to accordingly implementation
• Filter concept requests from the markets to kick off the design development of new concept items where needed
• Facilitates the creation of the brief from commercial standpoint (like functional needs, cost, scalability, technical feasibility, sustainability, accessibility and availability) for new concept developments with the input of the EMEA+ markets and Omnichannel Management
• Complete and maintain data system to be able to make standard concept information available and to keep updated for all stakeholder
• Ensure taking care of locally or partner set up fixture production, supervising the fixture quality, design and concept compliance 
• Oversee phase out current and phase in new concept items into rollout and facilitate write off management
• Oversee supply of conceptual standard items
• Oversee small material sample bulk with vendor to deliver by request to landlords, franchisees and further parties  
• Organize annual event with all stakeholders (Store Development &SIS, vendors, procurement, country and region) 

The Ideal Candidate:

• A completed Bachelor degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent Experience in Construction & Design
• Project Management Skills (a degree is a plus)
• Understanding of retail processes, systems and strategies
• Approx. 5+ years’ experience in a Retail or Retail linked industry as a Project Manager with experience in rollout standards. Previous experience in a complex matrix environment is a plus
• Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously
• Very good interpersonal communication skills: working centrally & locally, stakeholder management, building strong relationships with other divisions within Retail, team player
• Comfortable with high levels of ambiguity, having a high sense of ownership and not shying away from responsibility.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Good knowledge of MS Office & PowerPoint, knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit
• Business fluency in English (written and spoken),
• Willingness to travel abroad occasionally
