Come join our team in this exciting new role! Humana's IT organization is undergoing a multi-year transformation journey to develop a cloud-based and platform-centric technology ecosystem. As a Standards Lead in the IT Project Management Center of Excellence, you will work cross-functionally across IT to optimize the practices of project and program management, impacting the delivery of enterprise-wide technology initiatives. In this exciting new role, you will work with IT-wide project management offices developing standards and best practices and coaching individual project managers across the IT organization.

Responsibilities

The Program Management Center of Excellence (PM COE) Standards Lead is in Humana's Information Technology (IT) organization and is responsible for working across IT PMOs to define the standards and best practices that merge traditional PM techniques with agile ways of working to enable effective execution of technology initiatives. The right candidate will demonstrate an expert level of understanding of program/project management practices, standards, and the resources and tools needed to support a large IT PM community. The role incumbent will be a thought leader and strategic advisor, with direct experience in identifying, documenting, and implementing program and project standards.

Duties include:


Identify opportunity areas within project and program management and develop and prioritize strategies based on areas of need
Act as a consultant to multiple project management offices, application development leaders, and business segment CIOs in coaching their teams around the adoption of 'best practice' work standards and tools, and other matters that relate to supporting the work teams' success
Collaborate with the IT Agility Office in defining the best path for developing project management practices to support Agile software development approaches
Develop approaches for how the organization oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated initiatives, and set guidance on how work teams may measure business value
Lead PM COE change management and communications efforts


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
8 or more years of project/program management, or PMO leadership experience in IT
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing project management standards and best practices
Direct experience with various software development methodologies as a leader, coach, or in standards development
Specialized knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), project management practices, PMBOK
Working knowledge of agile methodologies, scaled agile (SAFe) framework

Demonstrated experience in SharePoint site development


Preferred Qualifications


Master's Degree in Business Administration
Deep knowledge of project and program management (PPM) and agile toolsets
PMP Certification
Agile / Scaled Agile Certification


Additional Information

Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their homes.

If progressed to offer, candidates will be required to:


Provide proof of full vaccination, including booster OR
Provide proof of applicable exemption including any required supporting documentation


Medical, religious, and state exemptions will be available.

Work-At-Home Requirements


WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
