Profile
The Project Manager II will be required to manage multiple and simultaneous implementations. Duties include:
- Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with both new and existing clients.
- Develop relationships and facilitate the implementation of the solution.
- Manage the allocation of work to the appropriate resources.
- Motivate resources to deliver to quality standards on time and within budget.
- Support clients through all phases of implementation from the initial definition of requirements, data mapping and conversion, training and production implementation through to the implementation of production support.
- Manage the financial aspects of the implementations, including forecasting, monitoring project costs and communicating costs against budget to clients.
- Ensure commitments (both contractual and non-contractual) are met.
- Consult with clients to ascertain and define need or problem area, and determine scope of investigation required to obtain a working solution(s).
- Conduct studies or surveys to obtain data required for a solution(s).
- Analyze data to determine a solution, such as installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in processing methods and practices, modification of machines or equipment, or redesign of products or services.
- Advise clients on alternate methods of solving a need or problem, or recommend a specific solution.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, health care or business related capacity required.
PMI Certification preferred.
Training/Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience directly managing projects, including implementing package solutions and data conversions.
- Experience in a software vendor or consulting company environment is a plus.
- Experience managing health care projects a plus.
