DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Provides retail environment recommendations for the consumer shopping experience based on analyzing consumer dynamics, strategies, and retailer parameters.
Ensures the store layout and merchandising elements evolve as consumer shopping strategies and habits change, and as Nintendo products and strategies change over time.
Influences retailer decisions by representing Merchandising in planning sessions and presentations
Develops and manages direct reports and provides mentorship, guidance, career development and performance management
Leads the conceptualization and execution of semi-permanent/permanent branding, displays and interactives, including RFP development, vendor selection, design development, and program sell-in
Leads the cross-functional internal and external teams on the development, production and maintenance of all in-store displays, branding and new consumer experiences
Ensures Nintendo branding is maximized while balancing scalability and affordability.
Collaborates with sales, space planning and retail strategy teams on planogram development and optimization
Defines and presents permanent space, branding, display, and interactive opportunities to retailers
Designs, implements, reviews analysis and makes recommendations on test environments/displays
Establishes retail specific merchandising objectives and aligns retailers/sales teams to achieve.
Develops and manages merchandising budgets
Retail Marketing & Strategy leadership team advisory role for overall retail presence and opportunities
Develops and prepares data for senior leadership
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
8 to 10 years of related experience required
Retail merchandising, printing, display materials, inventory and quality control procedures
Solid and demonstrated experience in large scale production projects
Management of complex, highly-skilled cross functional teams
Prior People management and project management experience
Knowledge of semi-permanent/permanent displays
Experience in a technical environment helpful
Knowledge of Nintendo products helpful
PC word processing, database, spreadsheet skills (Word, Excel, and Photoshop preferred)
Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Advertising, a related field, or equivalent
Formal training in marketing practices or equivalent preferred
