Northrop Grummans Defense Systems sector is looking for a **Project Manager** / **Principal Project Manager** to support the Quality and Operational Excellence organization. Location can be at one of the following major sites: **McLean, VA, Huntsville, AL, Orlando, FL, Elkton, MD and Rocket Center, WV.**
The Defense Systems Sector Quality and Operational Excellence organization is a multi-faceted organization responsible for Digital Transformation, Strategic Resource Planning, Program Excellence, Lean-Agile Transformation, Engineering, Technology, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality and Mission Assurance. Were a team of systems thinkers that strive to improve the performance of the sectors Weapon Systems, Global Sustainment and Modernization, and Combat Systems and Mission Readiness divisions.
Primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Develop and summarize status, data and metrics to support project reviews with the DTO and Defense Systems senior leadership
Develop and maintain the DTO digital program management vision and roadmaps for the candidates capability portfolio
Foster close collaboration with Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and GSC
Support the Digital Transformation office with PM portfolios including Portfolio Project Management, Workforce Planning and Facilities Planning
**Basic Qualifications:**
**Project Manager**
Bachelors Degree and 3years experience, or Masters Degree and 1 years experience in project management, business management or equivalent field
Requires knowledge of program management processes, procedures and tools
Ability to develop relationships and operate in a collaborative team environment
Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors
**Principal Project Manager**
Bachelors Degree and 6years experience, or Masters Degree and 4 years experience in project management, business management or equivalent field
Requires knowledge of program management processes, procedures and tools
Ability to develop relationships and operate in a collaborative team environment
Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Experience with Lean-Agile principles, Agile frameworks (e.g., Scaled Agile) and Continuous Improvement Concepts
Active DoD Secret clearance
Salary Range: $58,800.00 - $102,100.00Salary Range 2: $72,400.00 - $125,800.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
