Position Overview:The Siemens Mobility team is looking for a highly motivatednindividual for an Engineering Project Manager role to execute projects and helpngrow Rail Infrastructure business in the Americas. As the Senior Engineering Project Manager, you will be partnof a team that consists of employees from multiple subject areas all passionatenabout successful project execution and the development of winning proposals.nYou will work closely with Customers, Engineering, Supply Management,nManufacturing, and the Products groups to support and execute new RailnInfrastructure opportunities. The role will also entail scheduling projects tonensure cost and time objectives are being met, review of sophisticatednengineering designs, presenting reports, and supporting proposals on an asnneeded basis. Responsibilities: n Understand then specifications to ensure designs and deliverables align with contract andn technical requirements.n Prepare project plans forn carrying out the design, procurement, and delivery of all components forn the project. Identify and handle project risks/opportunities.n Ensure timely achievementn of project landmarks.n Coordinate all Projectn Engineering activities, both internal and external to Siemens, to ensuren that work stays in sync with the contract and is performed on time.n Expedite the flow ofn Technical Documents and ensure compliance with contract and projectn requirements.n Maintain engineeringn compliance matrix (Doors).n Develop and executen engineering project resource allocation plans.n Build and maintain costn control documentation and reports for Estimated Time to Complete (ETC),n material costs, manpower burn rates, etc.n Create and present projectn summary reports.n Execute and drive projectn lifecycle tollgate process.n Review and sign off ofn engineering designs and document.n Prepare/analyze projectn schedules (including identification of critical path and near-criticaln path activities) to supervise progress and provide early identification ofn potential solutions/mitigations for identified schedule issues.n Guide and mentor projectn team membersn Assist the Project Managern on handling all matters pertaining to the contract and the overalln project.n Implement and coordinaten strategies to close out the project.nRequired Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:n BS in Engineeringn (Electrical preferred) or advanced degreen 5 - 10 years of experiencen in an engineering field including a minimum of 5 years of projectn engineering experience and successful demonstration of Keyn Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.n Strong teamwork skillsn Strong leadershipn abilitiesn Excellent written andn verbal communication skillsn 5 – 10% TravelnPreferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: n Knowledge of Primavera P6n and/or Microsoft Project a plus. PMP Certification preferred.n Embedded systemsn Green or Black beltn certificationn Financial experience atn the project leveln Engineering projectn lifecycle experiencen Doors Compliance softwaren experiencen Bid and proposaln experiencenWhy Siemens?
