Job Description:

Responsibilities:

40%: External Representation:


Support Development team in communication with external stakeholders in key NY communities.
Support Development team in progressing tactical objectives in land acquisition, interconnection study and planning, permitting and regulatory in support of the business strategy.
Supporting local, county, and state permitting, including managing consultants.
Support Technical team on development implications of logistics planning around ports. This includes schedule, local content, and communicating our needs to ports.
Support Commercial team with developing and cultivating strategic relationships with equipment suppliers, contractors, regulatory and government bodies, and other potential sources of business.
Work productively with other, non-government stakeholders including electric utilities, renewable energy companies, energy consumer groups, environmental groups, trade unions, business associations, and others to advance project strategy and tasks.


50%: Internal Planning and Coordination:


Support the Technical team with the review of contractors and plan for construction to ensure project, local, and regulatory compliance (i.e., dewatering plans, traffic plans, and soil management).
Support the development and management of project development and execution budgets and schedules
Supporting contract management and budgeting
Supporting management of internal activities and external consultants to ensure the execution of key tasks and deliverables produced on time and on budget
Work across multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical, environmental, regulatory, and community requirements are understood and complied with during development, construction and operations.


5%: Provision of Information/Analysis


Supports development of integrated financial budgets, internal reporting and controls, time tracking, purchase requests, invoices and expense reports.


5%: Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


Minimum 3 years of experience in renewables project development or comparable role
Understanding of development and community engagement in NY and/or NJ
Bachelor’s degree


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:


Strong prioritization, communication and organizational skills
Ability to quickly work into new tasks and accommodate with new circumstances in a dynamic environment
Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
High energy, self-motivated, collaborative individual
Ability to work in a multi-cultural context
A high degree of organizational skills as well as skills in written and oral communications
