This Project Coordinator V position is responsible for working under the guidance of the established Medical Education Operations and Surgical Innovations Professional Affairs and Clinical Education (PACE) team within the Clinical Research and Medical Science (CRMS) department to coordinate and deliver training and education programs aligned with the educational needs of physicians to drive clinical skills, therapy development and to advance patient care across the U.S. In this highly collaborative role, you will work in tandem with PACE team members and physician faculty on the planning and execution of education events.
A Day In The Life
Become an expert in the planning, administration, and execution of surgeon training programs for healthcare personnel with the goal of improving patient care.
Coordinate execution of logistical details. Provide on-site support to ensure positive faculty and customer experiences, logistics, and appropriate business conduct compliance.
Cultivate positive, effective relationships with HCPs and internal business partners that drive business results and advance therapy.
Have in-depth understanding of and maintain compliance to business conduct and medical education event compliance policies, processes and required documentation.
Engage in continuous learning within the SI therapeutic area to be a reliable, trusted resource. Also engage in continuous learning on clinical education delivery methods.
Promote medical education programs/resources to internal and external stakeholders and customers.
Demonstrate proficiency with and ability to learn standard and custom software programs (MS Office Suite, Cvent, Concur, iPad Apps, SFDC, Veeva, etc.) specifically geared toward project management, content development and compliance activities.
Responsible for content/document review and approval process, which requires understanding of and adherence to mandatory guidelines and work instructions that maintain compliance in our regulated industry.
Maintain general project management tracking for program activities relevant to compliance, logistics, budget, metrics, and general customer engagement.
Provide exceptional customer service when communicating with physician faculty and attendees.
Demonstrate willingness to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse set of peers and colleagues across organizational levels to include CRMS, Sales, Marketing, and other commercial business partners.
Contribute to the execution of Medical Education and PACE strategic plans for the Surgical Innovations business.
Works independently but with direction from Medical Education Operations Manager and PACE Specialists.
Continually seeks out and participates in self-development activities.
Performs other duties as requested/assigned with or without accommodation.
Ability to travel approximately 25%.
Ensure all regulatory and compliance internal and external guidelines relevant to the position are followed.
Must Have; Minimum Requirements
High Scool Diploma.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in medical education within the medical device or pharmaceutical industries with training program development, coordination and/or execution.
Or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
Nice To Have
Experience in project management, operations or marketing roles in medical device or pharmaceuticals preferred.
Therapy knowledge and fundamentals of clinical education
Knowledge of compliance standards and ethical obligations
Experience developing, planning, and facilitating clinical education programs
Knowledge of procedural techniques, clinical information, and device features/benefits
Knowledge of innovative educational resources that meet customer and market needs
Understanding of geographical nuances relative to physician specialties, therapy access and market demands
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Experience working closely with HCPs, Marketing and Sales
Provision of outstanding customer service
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse set of peers and colleagues across organizational levels
Interested in personal and professional development, feedback, and coaching

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive plan. Learn more about Annual Salary and Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP) on Page 6 here .
Salary Min: $74,000 Salary Max: $111,000
