Digital Surgery is a data-driven company implementing AI technology, computer vision, and augmented reality in the operating room (OR) and surgical training. Our first OR device allows surgical videos to be uploaded shortly after a procedure, using advanced AI automatic processing. We also provide award-winning, accessible surgical training on our Touch Surgery application, for surgeons and other healthcare professionals.

This Senior Project Manager position will be a key member of the Surgical Robotics PMO team. This project management position will coordinate and organize various efforts as the core team leader on several projects for the Digital Surgery business within the Surgical Robotics Operating Unit.
**A Day in the Life**
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.**
Demonstrated skills in managing priorities and making complex technical and business tradeoffs
Experience coordinating multiple teams to execute concurrent, interdependent projects
Intimately familiar with project management concepts (PMI, schedule/cost/quality tradeoffs, schedule and resource planning, etc.)
Experience with highly regulated and/or safety-critical systems is required (medical device experience strongly preferred)
Knowledge of hardware engineering management, both tools and process (project tracking/scheduling; bills of materials; document management; issue/bug tracking; configuration management; integration/release testing; etc.)
Solid understanding of structured product development (requirements-driven engineering, requirements documentation, rigorous verification, DFMEA, etc.)
Comfortable with a range of project management methodologies (sequential/waterfall, Scrum, Agile, etc.)
Well-versed in R&D, product development, and clinical/regulatory process (e.g. IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485)
Schedule Project Core Team and other similar project meetings, documents meeting minutes and key decisions, and tracks action items
Ability to track the financials of the project with such things as forecasting, accruals, and actuals
Tracks and monitors project progress to achieve project management stage deliverables and project milestones
Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders (including multiple teams, sites and disciplines) on the progress of the project
Develop a broad understanding of the Medtronic Surgical Robotics and Digital Surgery Businesses, products, and clinical applications and leverage the knowledge of others
Ability to coordinate, track, proof and finalize project documents as needed with limited supervision
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products.
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules, design stage reviews and prepares status reports.
Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
Bachelors degree required, or equivalent experience
**Nice to Have**
Project Management, Engineering, or Technical Service experience
Experience with medical devices, aerospace, imaging technology or other highly technical regulated disciplines
**Specialised Knowledge**
Experience with Microsoft suite of tools (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.)
Experienced in all aspects of verification and validation activities
Experience leading diverse and complex projects and programs
Strong written and oral communication skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
Masters Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration (MBA)
Independent thinker with the ability to take both a commercial and operational view of complex situations
Ability to solve highly complex problems across multiple business functions
Experience with ProChain, JIRA, JAMA or PDware
Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
