Responsibilities

The Project Management Intern - Care Delivery Communications position requires an individual with a baseline understanding of communications principles and practices, strong analytical and project management skills, and a passion for the healthcare industry. This individual will work between both the Communications Team and the Care Delivery Team to support on strategy development and execution with the goal of increasing utilization of a virtual Care Delivery benefit across relevant audiences of both members and providers. This role may include research, communications development and management, tracking of communications and campaign efforts, and more. This role will support collaboration between a diverse group of clinicians, healthcare professionals, and marketing / communication strategists.

The ideal candidate will exhibit key professional and personality traits such as: the ability to quickly adapt in an evolving and dynamic environment; the confidence to get things done independently and own projects; and the resilience to navigate ambiguity and rapid growth. This position requires strong attention to detail, especially due the highly regulated nature of the healthcare industry. This individual will have to quickly familiarize themselves with basic industry-specific best practices in the compliance, legal, and regulatory areas of communications.

This position will report directly to the Provider Communications lead with oversight and support from a Sr. Marketing Professional (Member) and Marketing Professional (Provider). This will allow the role to truly be cross-functional in nature.

Responsibilities


Data gathering, analytics, and reporting for provider and member communication campaigns specific to Care Delivery.
Generate and manipulate data sets in Excel leveraging different databases.
Project management and management of agency deliverables.
Support administrative functions between Care Delivery and Communications teams.

Perform tasks following and enforcing safe protected health information (PHI) protocols.
Assist in the creative and content development process while collaborating with an external agency.
Drive strategy alongside Care Delivery co-leads, be comfortable expressing new ideas, opinions, etc.


Required Qualifications


Currently enrolled or a recent graduate of a four-year college program with a major in healthcare administration, business/data analytics, communications, marketing, or management. Other majors considered.

Advanced in Excel, with proficiency in other Microsoft Office Programs like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
Passionate about consumer-first thinking, marketing, and the healthcare space.
Possess phenomenal analytical skills with a natural ability to remain calm, organized, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications


Prior internship experience in the healthcare field.
High emotional IQ, innate ability to earn trust, and creative problem-solver.
Highly motivated to network and build relationships across the Author by Humana organization.
