TITLE: Project Manager/Scrum Master
Location: Remote (Must work West Coast hours)
Pay: $80-$85/hr
Our client, a worldwide media and entertainment brand is looking for a Project Manager to add to their team. This role will be supporting Content Platforms Rights & Accounting alliance. The primary function of this role will be focused on Project Management, the secondary function will also focus on supporting 1 - 2 squads from a Scrum Master perspective. Our Business Operations team engages and partners with leaders across all business segments to drive roadmaps and requirements that support their business processes; manage work intake, prioritize investments and resources; drive operational effectiveness and efficiency; deliver global program and project management; monitor and communicate key performance indicators, and deliver foundational technology critical to our own day-to-day operations. This position is part of the Global Program Management team which manages the execution of our Technology programs: including scope, delivery schedules, and budgets in addition to identifying dependencies, managing risks, and quantifying business impact. This role collaborates with the Product team, Engineering and business stakeholders to understand and rationalize strategic roadmaps while providing easy-to-understand, transparent reporting to leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities: Accountable for driving execution and delivery of programs from start to finish.
Develops program plans comprised of parallel workstreams or projects, coordinating with multiple project managers that collectively provide significant business impact.
Monitors & adjusts program plan to respond to unplanned changes, ensuring program is progressing to meet business goals.
Oversees the health of the projects and programs; ensure transparency of project progress and issues/risks.
Proactively drive risk mitigation and contingency planning, along with issue resolution.
Communicate status, updates and project summaries via presentations, email and direct communication with key stakeholders and executive leadership.
Facilitates the governance process that provides senior-level leadership oversight and control for the program.
Implements fiscal practices and controls, authorizing, recording, and reporting on program expenditures & ROI.
Support 1 - 2 scrum teams as Scrum Master
Required Skills: Minimum - 5 or more years of progressively complex Program & Project management experience.
Extensive knowledge and experience working in technology-centric organizations.
Excellent facilitation, communication planning and problem-solving skills.
Experience in media industry and/or software development.
Experience in the Asset Right and/or Accounting space
Effective at leading teams comprised of both direct and indirect reporting relationships.
Expert with project management tools, including: Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheets.
Proficiency in Agile Project Management methods; including Scrum and/or Kanban
