The Team PVH Creative Services is responsible for the architectural & interior design of digital showrooms, wellness , hospitality & workplaces for PVH. The department subsequently works hand in hand with (country based) Project Managers in order to execute and deliver dedicated projects. With regards to digital showrooms, PVH Creative Services is responsible for the design, execution & delivery of seasonal concepts (these change 4x year), on a global scale for TH and on a European scale for Calvin Klein & Nike UW. PVH Creative Services is also responsible for the concepts, design & roll-out of digital showrooms globally & the design of HQ/ wholesale architectural projects.

The Position

Reporting into the Senior Director, as Project Manager- Seasonal Showrooms, you are responsible for the successful execution & delivery of seasonal showrooms in PVH’s Amsterdam headquarters, as well as for remotely supporting local delivery in global locations for the following brands: Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Nike UW. Seasonal showrooms change 4x / year for TH and CK, 2x/ year for Nike UW.

The seasonal showroom concepts are devised by the Showroom Designers within the Creative Services team. Your role is to enable the successful delivery of these concepts within physical environments, on schedule & within budget.

As Project Manager- Seasonal Showrooms, within the team you closely collaborate with: the designers, architects, showroom operations & the (digital) coordinators to ensure the project flow is organized and transparent, aligning all the parties & entities involved.

Outside the team but within the organization, you are in regular contact with: Divisional Merch teams, VM, Facilities, Security, IT & Tech, Digital & 3DX, Marketing, country PMs, country VMs, Finance.

Outside the organization, your main stakeholders are: GCs, external digital/ tech teams & vendors, set designers & builders, FF&E vendors, digital & print production, freelancers & agency temps.

As Project Manager- Seasonal Showrooms, you manage the budget & the project schedule, ensuring all tasks are assigned & completed within the required timelines and the project remains within the pre-determined budget.

You are also responsible for tendering, order & invoice tracking, connecting with all internal & external stakeholders, ensuring that there is a productive & efficient communication, work & production flow.

You manage all in & outbound processes in support of the showroom build ups & take downs. You maintain our storages (on & off site) ensuring all databases are kept up to date & efficient.

Your previous experience of working on interior or set design projects enables you to have a great eye for detail & an understanding of creative briefs- you have the required imagination & creative vision to visualize the end goals.

You are able to have productive & efficient exchanges with the designers, understanding what will make (or break) the success of a seasonal concept.

You have solid experience in managing complex projects within a creative environment, understanding the different work flows and processes. You are able to adapt your schedule and work pace accordingly. You are able to work independently & can steer yourself through project demands.

Ideally, you also possess some experience of working with digital tools and experiences (3D AR, VR etc.) as these are incorporated in the concepts you are expected to deliver. Knowledge of Marketing/ media project processes and events planning would definitely be an asset.

You are a flexible, agile multi-tasker- you understand also that this is not a 9-5 function as GC’s & external contractors especially like to work shifts and you need to be present on site to supervise them.

You adopt a pro-active & team-minded approach towards all your projects, seeking all relevant data & information which will be required or will support the team in making the correct (concept/ design/ budget/ planning) decisions.

You aim to have information ahead of time in order to support the team in the best way and to ensure projects are handled in a structured and organized manner. You take initiative & enjoy taking ownership of your tasks- however you are also an absolute team player and always put the interests of your team & our projects ahead of your own.

Lastly, you have an active interest in sustainability & circularity, curious & eager to explore with the team how to keep these topics are the forefront of our agendas and our concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the planning & execution of project activities
  • Supporting the designers in the concept design process, providing them with all the information they need (collection/ product info, materials, production lead times, budget feasibility etc.)
  • Communicating with all internal & stake holders to ensure a successful & productive project process
  • Communicating with the Divisions to acquire all necessary information & ensure total alignment
  • Managing the tender process: evaluating quotes, managing the quality of goods & services provided
  • Controlling the project process from tender to delivery
  • Establishing delivery schedules, monitoring progress, resolving issues
  • Managing the take down & build-up of showrooms on site
  • Seeking alternate arrangements in the event of shortages or delayed deliveries to minimize impact
  • Communicating with key vendors & stakeholders, ensuring all information re schedule & budget is clearly conveyed and abided by
  • Stimulating / enabling a collaborative & solutions’ focus mindset & work flow with all stakeholders
  • Collaborating closely w the digital coordinator in the successful integration of digital tools & experiences into the showroom concepts
  • Seeking new vendors and searching for new products & materials in support if Innovation
  • Managing our storages & databases, ensuring the team has organized & streamlined admin & back office support systems and support
  • Seeking new vendors and searching for new materials in support of Innovation
  • Communicating with your counterparts in the countries to assist them in the local execution of the concepts

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree qualification or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 6 years’ work experience in a related field or position, ideally project management at global level or within a global agency or organization
  • Extremely organized, able to multi task on complex projects & processes
  • Able to work within a creative environment, understanding of creative processes
  • Creative thinker with excellent visualization skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication & organizational skills
  • Demonstrated planning, admin & budgetary control skills
  • Absolute team player
  • Positive in mindset, solutions’ driven & hands on, a “can do” attitude
  • People management experience required in view of managing temporary workforce
  • Able to work independently (by remote) as well as within a group environment
  • Flexible regarding work schedules (shift/ week-end work will be required, hybrid working does not often apply to this role due to on site/ in office work requirements)
  • Computer literacy to including Microsoft Office & planning packages (Asana or other); basic ability to use design packages (Photoshop / InDesign)
  • Fluent in English & Dutch, other languages a definitive +
