This primary responsibility of this position is to provide professional and consulting services to Sirius’ customers in the areas of Oracle and SAP solution design, leading implementations/migrations, business process analysis and will be responsible for project planning and prioritization and will be accountable for delivery of results and full customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform business and technical analysis, consulting, architecting, implementing and managing solutions focused on Oracle and SAP solutions
• Business development, analysis, solution design and service delivery for Oracle (Database, Applications and Middleware) projects including:
- Design and migrations
- High availability and Disaster recovery
- Health Checks and optimization
- Performance tuning and capacity planning
- Monitoring and management setup/configuration
- Database and applications security
- Problem resolution and support
- Upgrades
- Backup and recovery
• Perform the following team related tasks:
- Consulting services scope of work (SOW) development
- Engagements management for various types of projects in the group
- Oracle and SAP solutions and services scoping and managing service delivery
- Other duties as needed to support the team
• Provide technical, professional, and consulting services to support customers requirements
Position Requirements & Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information technology or related field
• At least 5 years information technology consulting experience in Oracle or SAP
Other Position Requirements:
• Experience configuring database and applications servers with physical data source analysis, data extract, entity relationship diagrams and logical schema design, physical database design, PL/SQL scripting, security and privacy, replication and clustering techniques, backup and restoration, resource maintenance and management, PERL and UNIX shell scripting, and monitoring solutions
• Demonstrated hands-on UNIX/Linux command line experience and Oracle clustering and replications solutions experience as well as integration with vendor HA and replication solutions
• Demonstrated ability to analyze technical and business processes and translate them into business requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices and generally accepted information availability methodologies
• Demonstrated understanding of data center operations including production operations, IT infrastructure, databases, applications, systems management, help desk, business continuity and recovery practices, etc.
• Experience in business and IT alignment, and ability to translate business requirements into solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan, execute, control, and close assigned projects in accordance with the project requirements and specifications
• Demonstrated ability to perform analysis of business problems and technical environments
• Demonstrated experience adhering to standard service methodologies ensuring consistency in project execution and deliverables
• Experience as a member of a technical project team, from design through delivery
• Demonstrated experience creating technical documentation
• Demonstrated experience interacting with all levels of management and forging positive and profitable partnerships
• Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Oracle database and applications certifications
• SAP certifications
Essential Functions:
The position exists to provide technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
