Looking for a Sr Project Manager.
Candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of several teams in the Web Development and Project Management area which currently include Web Application Development, Project Management, and Quality Assurance.
Candidate will be responsible for overseeing project management and regular tracking and reporting on project status and issue tracking and escalation. Responsible for developing project timelines and holding all resources accountable to those timelines. Also responsible for production management of entire website process including content, creative and applications. Assist in setting and monitoring quality standards on all project deliverables and communicate those to key stakeholders. Identification, escalation and mitigation of project risks, issues and contingencies.
Manage teams of software developers responsible for developing software that meet established standards. Mentor projects through their full life cycle and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, enforce processes and protocols, buy-in from business partners, and task/schedule management. Responsible for delivery of accurate estimates for new projects and projecting impact to existing resources and projects. Develop and contribute to setting policies and standards for the department. Enforce and improve coding standards through solution and code reviews. Communicate effectively with management, vendors, other business units and IS/technology teams on an ongoing basis regarding project status; ensure that resource and project requirements are met and understood. Anticipate, identify, and articulate problem areas and work with others to devise solutions. Facilitate software product development with multi-disciplinary teams and partnering with counterparts in IT. Train and guide other developers concerning process and resource management.
Responsible for budget management, contract negotiations, and management of contractor resources. Work with a high degree of independence on projects facilitating productivity to both design and implementation. Coordinate with partners in IS to drive data strategy with suitable middle-ware and front-end strategies to deal with scale, complexity, and failures. Coordinate with partners in IS to engage in hardware capacity and disaster response planning. Give regular status updates on projects and notification of timeline and scope changes to executive management.
Job Requirements:
* B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent.
* More than 10 years of application development work experience, with 5-7 years of Web application design and development.
* 3-5 years managing large teams of developer and project management resources.
* Project management certification expert in the fundamentals of project management (identifying project members, goals, objectives, constraints, dependencies, work estimation, project schedules and budgets, timeline compression, risk planning, contingency plans, and risk monitoring and control).
* Minimum of 5 years project management experience in a Web and Web services development environment, managing multiple concurrent projects.
* Experienced in usability and design methodologies.
* Expert in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Strong understanding of existing Web protocols.
* Must have strong technical and business writing skills and be able to show samples.
* Able to think and work effectively under pressure
* Have a commitment to the on-time and to spec delivery of high quality web applications.

* Experience with Microsoft SharePoint for team collaboration.
* Experience working with Java/J2EE application development for Oracle SOA Suite 10G and/or 11G platform
* Strong working knowledge of RDBMS, SQL and database optimization concepts; Oracle-specific SQL, PL/SQL knowledge a plus.
* Practical familiarity with XML, XSL, XPath, JavaScript, HTML, AJAX, FLASH
* Knowledge of source control and defect tracking tools (e.g., ClearCase and ClearQuest).
* Experience writing shared and reusable components of code.
* Experience designing and tuning applications that can scale
* Formal software development methodology.
