Job description
Want to work on the new Toyota site work project with one of the leading US Heavy Civil Contractors? At Peterson Consulting Group we are the exclusive recruiting partner to our client and we are hiring urgently.
This position requires 5 years of Project Manager or Project Engineer experience in a self-perform environment and expertise in mass excavation, underground, rock excavating drill, and blast a plus. The ideal Project Manager will be locally experienced in North Carolina and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain owner relations and contract administration
Manage assigned office and project engineers, including training and development
Ensure all field operations are consistent with budgetary goals and outline operations consistent with production efficiency, strategic direction, and overall path towards project completion
Schedule and facilitate all project meetings required to successfully coordinate work activity; including company, subcontractors, and owner
Provide administrative and technical leadership for the project
Manage accurate contract documents, including specifications, drawings, addenda, and changes to the work
Supervise all activities related to contract administration, field operations, change orders, submittals, procurement, and schedule
Review and provide accurate project costs and forecasting
Implement and assist in project-specific Safety and Environmental Programs
Administrate subcontracts, materials, and purchase agreements
Communicate effectively progress/problems to senior management, field superintendent/foreman, subcontractor, and owner
Qualifications:
5 years experience in Heavy Highway & Heavy Civil construction
BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
Proven experience in managing projects from cradle to grave
Experience in managing self-perform forces in mass excavation, underground utilities, paving, and structures
Full P&L responsibility on the projects assigned to you
Report to project executive
Manage multiple crews and PE's
Experience with GPS
