Full Job Description:
We are looking for a knowledgeable, efficient, and well-organized individual with years of experience in the HVAC and plumbing industry. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be familiar with industry standard technology. Must have a proven track history of managing multiple individuals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee ebb and flow of multiple simultaneous estimates
Manage multiple estimators simultaneously working on multiple estimates
Detailed working knowledge of HVAC systems to include duct work, and piping systems, and equipment for commercial and HVAC projects (i.e., installations, retrofits, and equipment replacements) and proven ability to design and construct such systems
Familiarity with local unions and availability of labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs within estimates
Review proposals and specifications in detail to confirm and refine scope of work
Strong review and proof-reading skills
Thorough knowledge of estimating both design/build and plan spec projects
Attend pre-bid meetings
Review and understand all related construction documents
Provide guidance and support to estimates to develop strong proposals
Maintain files of active projects, completed projects and working documents
Coordinate with all impacted teams to ensure projects are kicked off successfully
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

Active Construction/Plumbing license
Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects
A proven track record of successful plumbing, HVAC piping, and ductwork experience, including commercial and light industrial
Experience estimating at least 10 number of projects valued at $1 Million or higher
Highly skilled in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Project management experience
Experience managing people
WORKING CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and long vision.
