POSITION SUMMARY
Key Responsibilities:
Be recognized as a DatesWeiser 'resource' throughout customer base
Develop a thorough knowledge of product application
Develop, maintain, and drive a business plan for growth of market share and territory volume to achieve sales goals
Educate key designers and specifiers to drive DatesWeiser specifications
Organize details to submit to customer service team at factory
Communicate with designers and dealers to gather all design details and project information
Identify and cultivate productive relationships with decision makers and key influencers within the territory with a special focus on Gensler
Provide local customer service to DatesWeiser team’s clients
Organizing proposals, sample submittals, etc.
Regularly update customer base on DatesWeiser solutions and initiatives
Liaise with MillerKnoll sales team with DatesWeiser opportunities
Understand and be conversant with customers representing the end-user, A&D and distribution
Understands and adheres to policy and objectives for and commitment to quality
When requested, support trade show initiatives in designated market
Work collaboratively with DatesWeiser and MillerKnoll resources; and with dealers and dealer resources to ensure a strong distribution presence and positive customer results
Provide strong conduit of communication between factory and field
Periodic travel to factory in Buffalo for technical and sales training
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field or equivalent level of professional experience
Required Experience
Design or furniture specification background required in light of high design and customer applications.
Project management experience preferred to keep copious details across multiple projects organized
Experience servicing clients in a high responsive and professional manner
Strong communication and social skills to engage both clients and internal stakeholders in a way that builds relationships.
5 years experience in contract interior design, customer service/furniture sales within contract industry.
