IBM Interactive Project Manager

Profile

IBM Interactive is seeking a skilled Project Managers area to participate in the design and development of highly interactive web sites and mobile applications for large, high profile projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading a mixed team of creative and development resources at various points during the year towards the delivery of these projects. Candidates will be expected to assist in growing the teams overall skill set through effective leadership and mentoring opportunities with new team members.
Duties
Leading web and software development team members responsible for development, deployment, and support of web sites and mobile applications.
Set, manage and meet the expectations of all clients during discovery, development and execution of all projects.
Act as liaison between the clients, other project stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers and members of the team.
Hands on technical work in support of implementation and troubleshooting of web and software platforms.
Participate in ideation and scoping of new product and services on a variety of platforms, including web, smartphones and tablets. Consult clients on their overall product roadmaps.
Tasks include budget management, generation of a project plan, scope determination, project leadership, customer consultancy, testing, logistics planning, training of customer staff and use of corporation tools, methodologies and processes.
Due to the diverse nature of the work, candidates are expected to be involved in all areas of the project lifecycle and be prepared to engage new technologies in support of defined strategies and initiatives.
Must be prepared to step into diversified roles where required to demonstrate the latest and greatest technologies IBM delivers.
Serve as escalation point of contact for product for any product or service related issues
Overview Skills/Experience:
Extensive experience managing interactive web sites and applications.
Extensive experience working with developers and project stakeholders
Very strong web and mobile industry experience, ability to advise customer decisions based on that experience.
Experience with graphic design, web analytics and customer relationship management.
Experience with MS Project and MS Excel
Experience estimating engagement effort and duration.
Ability to work well and communicate effectively with a diverse teams of technical architects, information architects, customers, project stakeholders, and creative directors.
Experience with web site content management systems.
Experience with web site editorial processes including content creation, digital photography and management of editorial teams.
Experience in international travel in support of customer projects.
People Skills:
The candidate should have experience working with a variety of clients at all levels of an organization as well as a level of comfort presenting their work in workshops and client meetings.
Has developed relationships of mutual trust with people inside and outside of their organization based on respect, integrity, positive regard and an appreciation of the uniqueness of the individual.
Willingness to commit non-project time to develop themselves, and other individuals, teams, and the IBM Interactive community within IBM.
Required
* Bachelor's Degree
* At least 5 years experience in managing interactive applications and web sites
* At least 5 years experience in internet industry experience
* Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
* English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
* At least 3 years experience in experience with mobile applications (especially iPhone/iPad/Android applications)
* At least 3 years experience in experience with social media based platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter)
* Certified in PMP
* Certified in PMI
* English : Intermediate
