IT Project Manager.
This position will report to the Deputy CIO of Enterprise Technology within the Information Technology department. This position will be responsible for managing new IT Enterprise Systems projects to completion within IT and with Administrative and Academic departments on campus.
The primary focus will be managing strategic projects for business process improvements to ERP systems and related third party applications. This position will operate with significant autonomy and independence to manage project charters & scope, timeline, managing resources, and driving the projects to completion. The IT Project Manager will also be responsible for long-term goals and strategic planning to identify and best utilize resources available. This position requires strong organizational planning skills and a broad understanding of IT systems, IT implementations, and technology/business systems.
The IT Project Manager will manage complex enterprise level projects, with multiple dependencies and interfaces with other systems, as well as coordinating work amongst multiple departments using a collaborative stakeholder approach. This position is responsible for overseeing ERP access and authorization processes/policies, along with enforcing audit policies. The IT Project Manager will be a project manager of assigned projects, and will request resources (staff) from other managers. They will assign project tasks and work items to staff assigned to the project, but are not responsible for any direct reports.

Position Details
Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, MUS Contract and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package

Schedule is typically 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday but can be flexible.
Salary for this position is $70,000 – $75,000 per year commensurate with qualifications.
Required Skills
Ability to exercise best practices in project management throughout all project phases, including project scope, schedule, resource allocation, and identifying project work items, responsibilities, and time for completion
Ability to align and set expectations with stakeholders on the scope of work and deliverables
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to stakeholders and the technology leadership team about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Project management capability - the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, while managing external stakeholders, and holding internal teams accountable to deadlines
Effective verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking and presenting to large audiences and the ability to communicate in both a technical and business manner depending on the target audience.
Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate change within a project and within the organization using change management principles, strategies, and techniques
Ability to conduct analysis of existing business processes and identify/recommend process improvement opportunities.
Strong ability to work in a team of diverse individuals and to share knowledge with peers, and ability to work independently
Ability to establish and maintain positive and productive business relationships with others
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, time-management, and organizational skills to complete tasks with critical deadlines while paying attention to detail

Required Experience
Experience planning, managing, and delivering small to large scale projects
Preferred Qualifications
PMP Certification (PMP, CAPM, PMI-PBA, PgMP, or PfMP)
Experience as a Project Manager leading large enterprise IT projects
Knowledge of ERP systems in Higher Education (ie: Ellucian Banner) or equivalent ERP experience
Knowledge of an industry standard project/portfolio management system (TeamDynamix preferred, or an equivalent)

, responsible for information security policies and procedures, security awareness training, security incident response, identity management, coordinating risk assessments with UM and MUS colleagues, and managing UM’s information security program.
