Shell Lubricants was named the global number one player in the industry for 12 consecutive years. We sell about 5 billion litres of lubricant every year, one third of which goes into passenger cars. Two thirds go into industrial and heavy-duty use, such as heavy-duty transport, agriculture, power generation and manufacturing.
Our Lubricants sales and marketing organisation is supported by:
An excellent research and development capability across three technology centres
A world-class supply chain that features 5 base oil plants, 10 grease plants and 40 blending plants
A robust network of distributors bringing Shell lubricants to more than 100 countries
The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible in establishing Shell Lubricant Marketing strategy for the Caribbean geography. Work to understand local lubricant market and customer needs to set business priorities and build an annual Marketing plan to support it. Need to follow up the annual marketing plan implementation, budget and payment control, track Shell brand performance, results from growth campaigns, guide sector review, CVP definition and pipeline growth activities, and rolling out global/regional key initiatives that connects with local market needs.
Accountabilities:
Set with Distributor account manager and Macro Distributor leadership team key business priorities and marketing activities that support the delivery of the annual Business Plan.
Leading Road Map and Annual Business Plan Exercise to produce the marketing plan ensuring that objectives are specific and that resource requirements are clear.
Manage interface with Regional Marketing team, align local marketing plan with Cluster strategies and directions.
Orient Distributors with B2B and B2C Marketing activities. Support them enhance lead generation, Promote relevant CVPs to customers, use the full marketing channel mix for positioning relevant messages to drive customer loyalty (retention), increase share of wallet and improve satisfaction.
Review business strategy at a market or segment level, identifying opportunities to turnaround unprofitable businesses. Implement recommendation within agreed time frame.
Actively support the Sales 1st journey ensuring a direct impact from marketing on achieving bottom line results. This includes training the sales teams on CVP knowledge, on marketing execution and work with DAM on MILOs and QBRs.
Coach Macro Distributor team members and deliver Training to improving Marketing capabilities.
Strength Shell brand in the country for all sectors, supporting Distributors set clear media strategy and Brand health KPis tracking. Serve as gate keeper of communications, ensuring compliance in use of tools, ways of communication, as well as in the use of the Shell brand (adhering to brand guidelines and VI compliance) but making this message relevant for local market.
Negotiate with marketing plan budget allocation, based on business priorities, brand needs on each marketing and amount of investment available working to improve investment commitment
Control Macro Distributor Marketing plan Execution and budget spend monthly tracking activities ROI to improve future marketing plan definition and sharing best practices at region and global level.

Requirements:
The role is an important part to grow Shell's Lubricant Business in the Caribbean. In addition to profound project management experience a balanced combination of strategic and implementation skills will be needed. Furthermore, we are looking for candidates with:
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
Masters/MBA in Marketing is preferred
Previous work experience in Lubricant Business is an advantage
With at least 5 years experience in marketing role, with portfolio P&L responsibility and brand Management
Experience in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work with diverse teams face-to-face and virtually
Experience in proactively identify insights and finding creative ways to look at the business.
Highly effective at presenting complex information and analysis in a compelling and persuasive manner.
A passion for marketing and strong drive for market leadership
Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory (spoken and written)
