Description
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Actively influences department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Develops business processes to ensure successful submission and reconciliation of encounter submissions to Medicaid. Ensures encounter submissions meet or exceed all compliance standards via analysis of data, and develops tools to enhance the encounter acceptance rate by Medicaid. Looks for long term improvements of encounter submission processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations or 5 years of related experience
Ability to analyze and manipulate data (ie: identify trends and data reconciliation)
Prior experience in a fast paced insurance or health care setting
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Experience with writing SQL and/or Access Databases
Self-starter, ability to work independently
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel, Power BI or other visualization tools
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Prior demonstrated experience with project management
Prior experience with Medicare and Medicaid programs
Six Sigma certification
Additional Information
This position is open to working remote in the eastern time zone and required to attend training meetings in Louisville, Kentucky as needed
