Description
The Hospital Engagement Executive will interface with contracted Hospital Systems in the Northeast to support our growth and profitability objectives. This person represents the Humana/Hospital relationship internally and externally across such areas as financial performance, clinical management, and serves as the liaison for questions and education on escalation of claims and medical record requests. The person will exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision and uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Responsibilities
Develop the PPT presentations and deliver onboarding presentations to new hospitals systems.
Coordinate Ongoing meetings to discuss operations, clinical performance and initiatives with key hospital systems.
Coordinate training sessions on provider accessible tools
Liaison between Humana corporate teams and hospitals on reporting and issue resolution
Liaison between Humana Vendors on reporting and issue resolution
Communicate key Humana policy updates to appropriate provider contacts
Primary objective is to maintain open line of communication between key hospitals fostering a collaborative and highly effective partnership
Required Qualifications
Experience with analyzing, understanding and communicating financial trends
5 years of Health care or managed care with Provider Contracting, Network Management or Provider Relations experience
2 years of demonstrated project management experience and partnering with senior leadership on strategic initiatives
Proven planning, preparation and presenting skills, with established knowledge of hospital/physician reimbursement methodologies
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Ability to travel as needed with reliable means of transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Consulting background
Knowledge of Humana's internal policies, procedures and systems
Familiarity with Hospital revenue cycle
Contracting Experience
Experience with Value-Based Care
Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare policies, processes and procedures
Additional Information
Geographic area of responsibility will be Downstate NY, Orange, Rockland, Westchester and Northern NJ
