Project Manager – Video ProductionBody of Work Project Manager role within World Wide Broadcast Level Corporate to Commercial Video, Photography, Animation & Live Webcasting Production GroupSupervise the process and results related to a substantial volume of high end video, photography, animation & live webcasting productions (20 ) simultaneously within fast paced Video Production Facility Department.
Reporting to department Director, the Project Manager will have oversite responsibility of entire producing process and producers (staff & freelance) from activation to delivery with exceptional results. Oversee Producer project planning and progress related to field, studio & post production and execution review and advisory. Project-long supervisor and advisor to Producers continually assessing quality against expectations within project needs.
Drive on-going curating of best in class production vendor partners, freelance Directors and Producers
Responsible for follow up summary to each production with evaluation and project over project improvement path forward recommendations and team coaching.
Lead cross department collaboration with Studio Manager, Senior Editor, and Technical Operations Supervisor for optimum execution of production planning.
Lead active production volume forecasting and planning with Intake Lead, Studio Technical Supervisor & Senior Editor and make freelance resource needs recommendations to Director
Support Intake process and engage for highest tier productions which require deep production knowledge, planning and potential vendor partner engagement at estimating stage including triple bid, Director treatment reviews, etc.
Relationship development with Business Partners & AORs for continuous acceleration of achievement of tying project results back to business teams and company goals.
Supervise & hold responsibility for the Producing Team maintaining productions within budget and ideally driving costs down further in order to meet department Synergy Targets.
Communicating weekly Forecasted Actuals to Director & Business Partners as determined necessary at onset of project.
Maintain Project Assignment Production Activity Reporting with support from Production Coordinator – reporting in on both during weekly Team Meetings.
Accountability for exceptional adherence by Producing team to end to end production department process including but not limited to actuals, folder and file maintenance, job opening and closing criteria. Ownership of on-going data updating and maintenance of year over year production log. Engagement with Director on quarterly reporting on project cost savings.
Adherence to all Project supervisory process. Proactive, deep support of Goals & Objectives of department and wider organization regarding design and execution of strategic planning, production process design, work streams & Objectives.
Available for growth workstream assignments as offered and additional responsibilities as assigned by Director.
Communication support on department initiatives including Power Point Deck development
Position Requirements
Bachelors degree in Communications, Media Production, Visual Arts or similar field10 years experience in a top tier studio, remote & post production video/film company or agencyHighly organized and an ability to multi-task effectively with an understanding of Project Management ConceptsHigh End Video Production knowledge from creative development phase through post production Client or Business Partner Account Management and / or LeadershipClient / Business Partner facing experience as related to project leadership Some travel may be necessary based on requirements and location of productionsSkills and Knowledge Desired
