Job Summary

Responsible for managing straight-forward to moderately complex projects through entire project lifecycle (inception, approval, planning, execution, and closeout) and coordinating technical aspects of projects (design, development, integration and test, trial and deployment). Act as a liaison with appropriate personnel to ensure project compliance to standards. Coordinate moderately complex high priority tasks. Assure feature and functionality and performance metrics requirements are defined. Initiate, facilitate and monitor specific intradepartmental (intradomain and cross-functional) project progress and performance to assure quality and on time delivery. Ensure milestone dates are met. Monitor risks during various stages of the project and escalate issues to the appropriate level of management. Maintain project status reports on projects. Create and manage contingency plans for projects. Evaluate impact change request against communicated timelines. Has experience, knowledge, and skills in technical discipline of supported domains. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

About the Team:

CONNECT Planning & Deployment is a team of Technical Project Managers (TPMs) who support the network capacity needs for the entire national Comcast footprint. The team is comprised of very diverse individuals who enjoy everyday challenges, who also like to work hard and celebrate accomplishments.

Team Responsibilities:

This team is responsible for procuring and deploying all have the network engineering infrastructure for the full Comcast footprint. The team maintains solid working relationships with the internal logistics teams, divisions, regions, and market partners to provide the best-in-class services to Comcast customers. They work closely with many vendors partners to ensure their forecast is provided to get ahead of their supply chain needs. These partnerships ultimately drive many efficiencies that allow the team to achieve their deployment goals.

What You'll Do:

Manages all assigned projects to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands and maintenance of overall project ownership.

Uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes.

Coordinates resources and needs, developing and maintaining regular contact with vendors for support and services.

Maintains communication with stakeholders. Provides status reports to Project Managers, vendors, stakeholders and resources.

Facilitates project meetings.

Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning and presents solutions and/or options to executive management.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Skills and Experience We're Looking For:

Ability to run a project

Organized and detail-oriented

Knowledge of Excel, specifically in data analysis and manipulation

Ownership mentality and will take accountability for the success and quality of results

Ability to study up on the project objective, understand the technical underbelly of the work, and the ability to communicate in non-technical terms

Creative, self-motivated teammate willing to take ownership of tasks assigned and new responsibilities

Natural curiosity about how the world works and platforms specifically

Bachelor's Degree
