Associate Manager, SCT CMP

Introduction:

Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) is looking for an experienced individual to join its Law Department. Position Overview:

This position will report to the Manager, Strategic Corporate Transactions, Contract Management and Policy (SCT CMP). The Assoc. Manager will be primarily responsible for providing support, supervision and guidance on various contracting infrastructure projects (e .g., contracting policy, guidance and tools ), collaborating closely with Manager, SCT CMP, BMS transactions attorneys, BMS Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) as well as other key stakeholders, globally .

Responsibilities:

Regularly engage with BMS transactional attorneys, subject matter experts and stakeholders in order to coordinate the development and maintenance of contract templates, the global contract template repository, contract core principles, negotiation guidance and other contracting tools.

Coordinate communication regarding BMS's global enterprise-wide contract management policy and related standards and guidance (collectively, the Contracting Policy).

Collaborate with BMS attorneys, business leaders and SS&P to ensure that the Contracting Policy and related procedures remain aligned with corporate priorities and risk tolerance.

Collaborate closely with SS&P, Finance, and other key stakeholders and third-party service providers to manage and optimize an integrated transactional workflow, and to maintain alignment with other policies and procedures that have direct or indirect links to the Contracting Policy.

Coordinate training to various client groups and contracting stakeholders, including third party providers of contracting and related services, regarding contract management, the Contracting Policy, related policies and procedures; and deliver training, as needed.

Provide leadership and guidance to the SCT department's Sr. Project Coordinator in order to manage day-to-day administrative updates and occasional projects.

Provide project management and operational support, as needed.

Collaborate closely with the Law Department, SS&P and other contracting stakeholders such as Compliance, Internal Audit and other groups within the Company, on various contracting-related projects, policies and processes.

Support enterprise-wide contract management and development activities and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance.

Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients.

Qualifications/Competencies:

Bachelor's degree required.

3-5 years of hands-on experience with contract management, processes and systems and/or strong project management experience at a global company.

1-2 personnel management a plus.

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Strong verbal and writing skills, and ability to convey complex information in a way that others can easily follow.

Ability to listen to and understand internal client needs, communicate with clients and senior management with confidence and diplomacy.

Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and can successfully manage internal client expectations and can work/operate well with a variety of personalities/capabilities in cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to self-prioritize work on an ongoing basis, as well as proven time management skills and the ability to handle situational pressures.

Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and complete multiple assignments in a timely and professional manner.

Ability to sustain high levels of performance in a constantly changing environment.

Ability to set priorities and work independently, effectively and efficiently to meet changing business objectives.

Knowledge of effective change management.

Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions.

Excellent administrative and organization skills.

Creative, thoughtful and practical problem-solving skills.

Must have high integrity, ability to assess risk, ability to make decisions and think strategically.

Possess strong business acumen and work ethic.
