Solutions Development is responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving a portfolio of new products, services, and business models in the Energy Solutions space aiming to meet the current and future needs of commercial, industrial, and institutional customers. Solutions Development plays an end-to-end role in the development of Energy Solutions and deploys, aggregates, and monetizes distributed energy resources (DERs). Its fully-wrapped DER solutions and facility analytics offering enable load flexibility, lower energy costs, resilient power, and sustainable electricity supply including:

Building load management

Energy efficiency

Emissions analytics and site decarbonization strategies

Solar and energy storage

Automated demand response

What’s the role?

The Project Manager will play an integral role in the assessment, commercialization and delivery of energy conservation solutions for commercial and industrial customers. He/she will be expected to manage the implementation of contracted energy efficiency projects at customer locations.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for on-time end-to-end execution of the portfolio of energy efficiency projects (lighting retrofits, HVAC replacements and controls, submetering etc.), under budget and a Goal-Zero HSSE mindset.

Act as contract holder for implementation contracts. Manage contractor relationships and be the focal point for vendor related matters - looking after the relationships with key supplier partners across the portfolio

Be an HSSE champion for the business – manage and drive contractor HSSE performance across the portfolio

Work closely with Energy Engineers to ensure accurate cost estimation of projects prior to final customer negotiations and business approvals

Coordinate with C&P, HSSE and Energy Engineers to ensure that appropriate contracting and execution plans are in place prior to project approvals.

Support supply chain optimization initiatives in collaboration with C&P, particularly identification and selection on preferred delivery partners for business solutions

Ensure that project performance (including vendor KPIs) and projected asset performance from implemented solutions are tracked, aggregated, and reported. Ensure on-going transfer of lessons learned from asset performance to the solutions product development team.

Support business continuous improvement initiatives – own areas pertaining to project delivery, performance reporting and project-to-asset handover.

Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

What we need from you?

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Minimum of 5 years of experience on energy efficiency projects through any combination of energy audits, energy program development & implementation, energy management, HVAC.

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or Building Architecture.

Established track record of successful capital project/program delivery. Experience with commercial building energy systems a plus.

Strong Goal Zero HSSE leadership mindset is required.

Solid experience and knowledge in Shell Electrical Engineering standards.

A working technical understanding of the range of the relevant technologies within the solar, energy storage, and microgrid controls category.

Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability for cross-business collaboration and managing internal and external stakeholders.

Comfortable working for a dynamic organization with a fast-growing customer base with diverse needs.
