POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting and leading Supply and Business Process initiatives on short- and long-term projects, as well as providing the business with the opportunity to execute and close out projects as chartered. This role will support team members in the execution of project plans to ensure maximum process efficiency. You will have the opportunity to use analytical skills to create efficient processes and study analyze project return on investment and contribution with a high attention to detail. The role will drive Business Process and executes project administration duties to ensure compliance with PMO policies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB: 

  • Create, crystalize and drive Supply and Business Process improvements.
  • Create strategy, deliverables building process documents to align stakeholders.
  • Create, drive and maintain project plans and associated Business Process documents.
  • Clearly communicate and help align strategy through documentation and cross functional team meetings.
  • Support our Go To Market team on specific deliverables.
  • Own and trouble shoot Supply Chain SharePoint sites (as needed).
  • Operationalize the PMO methodologies, tools, & platforms.
  • Lead day-to-day PMO operations, processes, and RACI for business project requests, tracking, and maintenance.
  • Continuously operationalize the PMO Education Center through onboarding / training processes, template maintenance, and project archiving.
  • Operationalize development of PMO skillsets within the businesses to allow embedded teams to lead and support day-to-day projects.
  • Use critical thinking and project management skills to audit project plans for tracking and accuracy.
  • Administer the execution of workflow procedures and quality control to handle multiple projects.
  • Audit assigned project briefs for completion and scope before commencement of work.
  • Ensure post-project information and financial data is complete.
  • Ensure proper documentation of meeting notes for communication to business partners and record keeping.
  • Maintain knowledge of latest industry systems and processes to continuously improve PMO developments.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience / Certifications: 

  • 3 years of experience in Project Management
  • Business Process support and /or Strategy support a plus  
  • Prior experience working in a Project Management Office a plus 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus
  • SmartSheet experience a plus

Skills:

  • Project Management fundamentals
  • Create and maintain project plans for cross functional teams, multiple stakeholders
  • Create process documents, flows to build strategy and align stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills; ability support cross-functional stakeholders across the organization and ‘tell the story’
  • Strong organizational and facilitation skills
  • Strong data and analytics skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Smartsheet, and visual mapping tools
  • Ability to maintain poise and a positive attitude in a challenging, fast-paced rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to understand, follow and influence cross functional teams
  • Self-motivated with excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong people skills that can support in bringing / uniting teams together around varying business solutions
