Description
The Project Manager 2 manages all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager 2 will:
Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing the project
Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete project work
Prepare designs and work specifications
Develop project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and select materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors
Communicate with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project
Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project
Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones
Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including linkage to related areas
Make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations
Require minimal direction yet receive guidance where needed
Follow established guidelines/procedures
Required Qualifications
5 years of Project Management Experience
Proficient with MS office products
Strong communication verbal and written to various audience and levels
Professional phone etiquette and proficiency in video conferencing
Ability and potential flexibility to travel up to 25% based on business need
Strong team player to work independently and as team member
Strong professional demeanor and phone etiquette
Preferred Qualifications
PMP Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Previous experience in healthcare technology and EMRs
