Description
Humana's Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) organization is looking for a Project Management Lead to join the team working remote anywhere in the US! As the Project Management Lead you will represent business needs to drive complex programs and projects that deliver non-technical and/or system solutions that improve the member and provider experience, aligning with department and enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities
ESS is seeking a Project Management Lead who:
Designs, communicates, and implements plan for completing the project, including operational readiness and transition to service areas and production support team; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; communicates and seeks resolution on barriers to the timeline.
Assembles and leads project team; identifies appropriate roles or skillsets needed and communicates with other areas in the organizations to secure resources and contributions to meet project targets and milestones.
Will be familiar with the project scope and objectives as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
Initiates and facilitates cross-functional meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project to various audiences.
When managing programs, oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects; sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer term business value.
Will partner with the IT project manager to bridge the gap between Business and IT.
Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
Possesses knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects.
Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
Leverages standardized tools and methods within a centralized project management office (PMO).
Contributes to PMO process improvements
Is a people leader who provides ongoing coaching, mentoring and feedback to help grow talent within the organization.
Is a change agent influencing others to adopt change that is needed for the organization to continue to improve & grow.
Helps creates a culture that is built around Humana's values, taking actions to enable a high level of team engagement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 8 years business project management experience, preferably with technical solutions and operational readiness planning
Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal effectiveness
Knowledge in project artifacts such as charter, project plan, RACI, communication plan and deployment/operational readiness plan
Desire to advance project management skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Work at Home/Remote Requirements
Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
Preferred Qualifications
PMP certification
Working knowledge of Agile methodology
